Hello- Checking in to see how your AC5300 is working on beta 3? I have 2 of them and then 2 AC3100- Would love to get some perspective as I am looking forward to AiMesh 2.0. Specifically being able to bind a client to a specific node.
When you get to aimesh 2.0 (it is very nice), you can only bind 9 devices. Try to remember that. Its not noted anywhere, took me awhile to figure out why i couldnt get a 10th working. EDIT: i wsa just looking. I think they changed it to a file, and not nvram. So the limit might be gone.

94adc38000 build: remove exception that disabled Ookla speedtest on RT-AX56U/RT-AX58U
Just reporting the speedtest seems still cannot be found on AX56U after upgrading from beta 2 to beta 3, thanks.

Did you reset the router afterward (WPS button method for your router)?

Not yet and will have a try now, thanks first.

@L&LD Just tried and did a clean reset also, but the speedtest still cannot be found on AX56U unfortunately, thanks.

So, not OpenVPN then? And worse, you're leaving WAN access enabled on the router(s)? Doesn't seem like a good plan to me. ;)

Why's that then? It's a web server?
Router is accessed by OpenVPN if I want to use wan access for router login admin.

Other web servers are not exclusive by VPN. To use the way suggested would require VPN setup on every device. It's not just for use by the 2 routers only. They were just a test.

Sorry, then I'm not understanding how you're connecting then?

Are you running a web server at the other location? Or are you saying that accessing the router via ssh over the WAN is the server?

If it's the latter, that is not secure.

So I'm still on Beta 3 (AX86u). Turns out the schedule blocking does in fact work. Except what it does is it prevents the device from accessing the internet at the blocked time.

However, if the device is already active, it does not in fact kick the decide off/block it.

Interestingly this was exactly how DDWRT worked (there was some odd workaround for it that I forget).

I haven't tried the test build yet, but curious if that's simply how these Asus routers work for the time blocking functionality?

Running AC68U on 386.beta1 (shall we expect 386DX soon? ;))

I just recently noticed that even though I've uploaded my SSL certificates as the chain (starting with my domain, then intermediate and finally root), it looks like the router doesn't respect this and always replies with the domain certificate only, causing some clients to refuse connection as they do not know intermediate. Is this a new problem or just me missing something?

I have vpn client running and it routes one device only through vpn. Had to turn it off for testing (VPN-Client-Turn off) and router restarted itself. AX88u with beta3.
A strange thing happened when installing skynet and creating swap. My CPU usage was high, which was to be expected, but my free ram usage when from 250 to 30MB (Usage 97%).

What is the normal ram usage? I have only one vpn server, vpn client and had skynet(not running at the moment).
After 5 minutes of creating the swap, skynet install(no appearing on firewall, probably usb fault), my usage is still very high.

What is show under tools-sysinfo-memory?

Hi

I'm running beta3 on my AX86u currently unable to now connect my Google Home speakers. Either on 2Ghz or 5Ghz wireless

I did have problems with an older Windows 7 laptop which is a works device where it couldn't see any SSID and this was resolved by disabling the AX mode below

But the Google speaker hasn't got this problem as it can see both SSID 2Ghz and 5Ghz but just doesn't pair

This RAM usage is normal. If you look under the tools-sysinfo section you can see there is a lot of cache RAM. You can consider FREE + CACHE as the free RAM that can be used by the system if it is necessary

@RMerlin I see you merged in 41535, so I'm guessing that GPL will also encrypt the NVRAM on the AC68U like it does on the official beta and have the same warning they posted?

To improve security, RT-AC68U starts to encrypt the NVRAM from this version.

Known issue: RT-AC68U needs to be reset to default to resolve the login problem after upgrading to this beta version.
If you want to downgrade to the previous version, you need to do it with rescue mode.
We are looking for a solution to this problem if you worry about this known issue, please wait for a further version and not update to this version.

Just for comparison. I have AX86U running beta3 and a whole housefull of google speakers. They all connected with no issues.

This is the behavior i see as well but the clients normally stop working within 10 mins or so of the start time in my experience.. The Phones seem to follow the time quite well.
Im not sure if this is related to Beacon intervals or any other setting in the professional tab.
