Good to know. I have installed that app just in case I need it in the future. You can download the Asus Firmware Restoration tool in the App Store.
Only issue /I have is that my Synology (link aggregated) no longer agreed with dhcp, I worked with a manual address though. Any thoughts? Rebooted router and unify managed switch. Worked flawless under 314.19?
Clear your browser cache. Is it only me or has the Web Gui always been like this?View attachment 30197
Acute lysdexia@RHF, how did you get a hold of the 836.1 firmware already? Are you a time-traveler?
Kudos to RMerlin for supporting the RT-AC68U so far into the future, too!
Yep I have the private Mac off. Running the AP has always worked well for me so I don’t feel I’m missing much with Aimesh.I have great results with AImesh on Rt-AX58U main and 2 RT-AX58U nodes BUT all the iphones and Samsung note 10+ are set now to phone mac (Samsung) and have Private Mac address (Iphones) turned off.
Make sure WPS is turned on sometimes its not start. Its needed to no pair master with node(s). Turn it off when its used. Gld.I had trouble setting up AIMesh today, after trying everything suggested in this forum I still couldn't find my node(AC68U). After a long thought about my process, I figured the problem may be that the access point I want to change into a node needs to be set as a router again before reset to factory defaults. Any further opinions and thoughts appreciated.

Thank you, these were precisely my thoughts as well. Where were all of these people before?I can’t even read this thread anymore. Drives me nuts. I don’t even know why I’m posting this. Call me crazy.
EDIT: I’m over-invested in this forum and don’t appreciate the onslaught of users who only appear when a new release occurs, missing all the previous alpha and beta discussions.
