Dirty upgrade to two RT-AC5300's. Node upgraded first and then router.
No Issues! Thanks @RMerlin for this excellent update.

After flashing the new FW 386.2, I have seen in the logs a new error never seen before:

kernel: FPM Pool 1: invalid token 0x21950000 freed

Is this something to be concerned about?

Dirty flashed my AC88U from 386.1_2 to 386.2 using my iPad without issue. As “expected” I got a traffic spike within 12 hours of doing so. Based on what I saw with 386.1, these will occur for the next 3 days and then stop until I reboot my router again.
Have you reported it to Asus?

Would there be any conflict with the integrated Cake implementation even if it's disabled and installing n using Cake through ssh/putty? I'm not familiar with configuring it through this awesome new firmware.

I don't think it will hurt, but at the same time it is probably not ideal to have the entware cake binaries alongside the built-in ones.
For the sake of simplicity, uninstall the old cake, and install the new cake-qos 2.0.0 addon, and you can do all your custom configuration via the GUI.
You shouldn't actually need to configure much though, since the default settings are very sensible.

Not quite sure what you are asking. I did not turn on the built in CakeQoS and stayed with the pre .2 install. Cake worked fine.

I have uninstalled the pre .2 Cake, then turned on the built in Cake and configured.

It was a time thing for me (Good Friday and everyone here is on the Internet). When I saw an opening to install .2, I went for it. Waited for the second breath to uninstall Cake and turn on the built in version.

All is tickity boo now.
same situation here, and basically same procedure...but I've lost my scMerlin and unbound tabs in the GUI...

I haven't seen anything about this add on. Can you guide me to it?

Thanks

EDIT: found the thread, asking questions there, thanks!

Installed 386.2 over 386.1_2 on my RT-AX3000 and RT-AC68U (node). Everything seems to be working just fine.

Any recommendations on Cake settings for WAN Packet Overhead and Bandwidth Setting? I defaulted to 'Cable (DOCSIS)' and manually set bandwidth to ~90% of my connection speed, but haven't tested anything else yet.

Keep getting this message on Rt-Ac68u.

No problems upgrading on Rt-Ac86u

Sorted by using a different browser!

Dirty upgraded my AC86U from 386.1_2, all good up to now. Thanks!

BUG warning
It works well without Guest Network. When I turn on guest network, the PPPOE connection drops frequently. Usually it is able to connect 3 mins up to 10mins, then drops the internet connection and connect again.

I notice that 386.2 is using another group ip address for guest network. btw, My machine is RT-AC 66U b1.
