Running Beta_2

Pixel 2 seems to be dropping and reconnecting alot more frequently. Seems to have an X through the wi-fi icon too.

Is there anything i can do here to debug/help?
You can try forgetting your WiFi connection in your Pixel 2 and then reconnecting again. See if that helps.

I've done a reset of the network settings on the Pixel 2.

I'll see how it goes. Maybe it's down to having Smart Connect Rules turned on?

Our two iPads keep losing WiFi

Model RT-AX88U
Firmware Version 384.8_beta2

I have a Pixel 3 XL...No issues here
(86U)

wireless works well on my devices. no issues as of yet. On this beta i've used an htc 10, htc one m8, iphone 7 and a nintendo switch.

on AC86U

First Issue just now this afternoon on the 86U.

I had Clients View List up for several minutes (kept it up). I turned on one of the Amazon Echo Dot's (5GHz) and a iPad Mini (2GHz). After several more minutes, I went to close the Client's list and could not (I wanted to see those two devices and didn't see the list update so I thought closing it and re-viewing it would work). Then noticed I couldn't do anything on the GUI. I tried 192.168.1.1 again and nothing, Tried on Wifi connected laptop and another wired connected laptop to the router.

Seems all the clients (wired and wireless) were still working out/in to the internet and each other.

I powered down the Router and all back though I had to log in three times to actually do anything in the router. I've seen that before as well but perhaps I am not waiting long enough for the Router to fully boot.

Anyone else experience an issue like this with the admin GUI?

Sounds like httpd crashed try this next time from a ssh connection:
Code:
service restart_httpd

Oops, I have ssh disabled as never needed it once I had the 68U setup and running as I wanted... I'll enable that and see if that will do it.

Anyone else experience a httpd crash on a 86u?

I'm not using the current beta, but yeah, I have in the past. I think I recall leaving the GUI open in a browser for a long time was almost guaranteed to crash httpd, but I think in my case it was more like hours than minutes. No biggie.

Ok thanks, I used to keep the gui up on the 68U for hours.. only after enabling Traffic Stats (last couple months) did I have wonky GUI issues, mainly with dropdown options disappearing but at least could get to the admin gui.

A couple of users experienced crashes of the httpd server (it's not a new problem). Unfortunately I have never been able to reproduce the problem, so I have no idea what could be causing it.

Even weirder is that the router's watchdog doesn't catch it (it should restart httpd whenever the process stops running). This might indicate that httpd does not totally crash, it simply stops answering requests.

When will version 384_8 be released? Next Week? :)

Dunno, things got delayed as I spent last night tracking down an nvram trashing issue which I only discovered yesterday, caused by a closed-source component...

Okay, Eric. Do not worry. Take all the time you need. Have a nice day :)

Whenever I have IPsec Enabled, after a few hours it would stop working from my clients. When I visit the Router GUI it works until I click VPN Server Config tab in the VPN section of my ac88u. The whole GUI will stop working, but the network is still operational until I reboot. Whenever I keep both HTTP and HTTPS enabled, I can crash the GUI for HTTP when I visit the VPN Server Config, and the other HTTPS would still work, unless I go to the VPN Server Config page. This only happens if I keep IPsec Enabled, no issues with keeping openVPN turned on.

Most of the time it does. Sometimes, though, it doesn't.
In my case, it was happening a couple of times a day. It hasn't show up in my log for 6 days now. Who knows? :)
