The CPU does not support Gen 2.
Hi, are you planning on making Merlin firmware available for the BQ16?
The CPU does not support Gen 2.
I don't speculate on future model support, sorry.Hi, are you planning on making Merlin firmware available for the BQ16?
They offer free (fast) shipping. Still trying to find someone to split as I just want one...Hello,
am planing to get BQ16 Pro(3 pack), and local bestbuy is out of stock right now.
in the mean time if anyone can clear my doubts, i have been using Merlin firmware with my AC5300 as AP mode with pfsense.
i want to leave pfsense and go with just BQ16, i know i can do wireguardVPN and ad-block out of the box with stock firmware.
thanks
- how can i do local lan redirection to nginx proxy manager for internal domains?
- can i use self cert with internal domain?
What do you use as primary router, the BQ16 Pro or GT-BE98 Pro?I picked up the 3 pack from Best Buy. Been running it for about two days so far. Updated to the latest firmware. My gt98 pro and rt96u together seem to be performing better so far. Utilizing Ethernet backhaul.
For now I’m using the BQ16 Pros only. What do you use as primary router, the BQ16 Pro or GT-BE98 Pro?
Ah. I reread your post and think you meant the BE98 Pro and RT-BE96U perform better than the 3 pack? For now I’m using the BQ16 Pros only.
Yeah, sorry for the confusion.Ah. I reread your post and think you meant the BE98 Pro and RT-BE96U perform better than the 3 pack?
I must say the latest BE98 Pro firmware did wonders for my AiMesh as it seems WiFi Agile MultiBand is actually working. My RP-AX58 and RP-AX56 actually have clients connected whereas before they would be 90% of the time devoid of clients.
Ultimately if I get one I'll try to replace my RT-AC68U as I think the BQ16 Pro would fit nicely on a window sill (Velcro'd down).
I disagree. I think they look better than the XT12/ET12, my only concern is for mesh nodes, they seem to be very bulky (being wide enough to have a row of 5 Ethernet ports). While OK for a primary router, it makes placement of the second node more difficult.
My personal favorite design still remains the Lyra Trio.
