Diversion Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

where has the update option gone from this?
Used to be "u" to update and it's no longer there. I'm on version 4.0.7

It's under the d (aka Diversion) submenu. You can type u to update from the main menu.

384.10 RT-AC68U Sorry for cross posting. Forgot to delete one. I have read L&D guide but just want to know if it is possible to just update the firmware and rest of the setttings remain unchanged? Basically I care about skynet & diversion. Don’t really want to set it up all over again.

You should not have any issues -- I have done it on multiple RT-AC68U (and other) routers.

While I recommend a full M&M Config and is what I do for customers each and every time, for our own routers, we can take another tactic. Simply try to flash the firmware you need and if it works and continues to work without issue, done.

If it doesn't, that is the time to consider more 'drastic' actions like an M&M Config.

The link above shows my experience from 384.10_0 and what I did to successfully flash to the latest one.

I'm still running my home routers like this as they are not giving me any issues so far, but I will do a full M&M Config myself when I have a little more time for 'me'.

I just have to say thanks again @thelonelycoder, this time for the iphone shortcut: "Diversion Adblocker". I can follow dnsmasq on one screen while transacting on another, switching Diversion on and off at will to catch problematic interactions red handed! And for everyone who doesn't know about this shortcut it's worth mentioning again. Again big ups.

You’ve whetted my appetite. I tried the shortcut when it came out gave up on the idea of Apple shortcuts: I hadn’t realised that it might have benefits of the sort you described.

Thanks, cmkelly and Asad Ali, but this Apple Shortcuts still does nothing for me: I much prefer to do it all through amtm in Termius. Horses for courses, I think is the phrase.

The only Apple device I have possession of is an iPhone work has foisted on me. So I've not even tried it.

"... work foisted on me" = it's not mine to sell. Plus work kinda expects to be able to reach me on it. And it works in my favor occasionally; if I'm out on the bicycle on a weekend, I only take one phone, and since work doesn't want me putting Strava on their phone, that means I only take my personal phone.

Same boat here...Personal phone and work phone. Another benefit is when/If I leave this job they can't pester me as only a few close friends have my personal number.

Does this help in blocking ads on videos, I tried adding site to pixelserv blacklist but it doesnt work for it - is there anything different available
