Hello,

I'm going to post this in here as the issue I'm having here:

Seems to be related to the running of Diversion (possibly just dnsmasq)

Code:
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U Diversion: is disabled, no services started
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U stubby[17043]: Read config from file /etc/stubby/stubby.yml
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq[17054]: started, version 2.82-34-gb309cca cachesize 1500
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq[17054]: compile time options: IPv6 GNU-getopt no-RTC no-DBus no-UBus no-i18n no-IDN DHCP DHCPv6 no-Lua TFTP no-conntrack ipset no-auth DNSSEC no-ID loop-detect no-inotify no-dumpfile
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq[17054]: DNSSEC validation enabled
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq[17054]: configured with trust anchor for <root> keytag 20326
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq[17054]: warning: interface pptp* does not currently exist
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq[17054]: asynchronous logging enabled, queue limit is 5 messages
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq-dhcp[17054]: DHCP, IP range 10.8.1.100 -- 10.8.1.199, lease time 1d
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq[17054]: read /etc/ hosts - 6 addresses
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq[17054]: read /etc/ hosts.dnsmasq - 0 addresses
Sep 30 09:02:32 RT-AC86U dnsmasq[17054]: using nameserver 127.0.1.1#53
Sep 30 09:02:33 RT-AC86U amas_lib[1393]: Error locking /var/lock/amas_node_list.lock: 0 Already locked
Sep 30 09:02:33 RT-AC86U amas_lib[1393]: Error unlocking -1: 9 Bad file descriptor
Sep 30 09:02:35 RT-AC86U Diversion: diversion.conf file not found, not starting pixelserv-tls

I keep getting this error pop up in my log

Code:
Sep 30 09:02:33 RT-AC86U amas_lib[1393]: Error locking /var/lock/amas_node_list.lock: 0 Already locked
Sep 30 09:02:33 RT-AC86U amas_lib[1393]: Error unlocking -1: 9 Bad file descriptor

But every time it appears its at the same time diversion is printing stuff to the log.

Does anyone have any idea? I apologise if this is not Diversion related and will remove the post if that's the case.

Thanks in advance.

Im not sure. ‘Amas’ though is something to do with AiMesh AFAIK.

Good day to all!)
I checked by putty amtm command and there is no more Diversion installed on my asus rt-ac5300. It looks like it was accidentally self-uninstalled. Ok, i checked "1" - install and then clicked yes and it showed me info that my rt-ac5300 is not supported by diversion, and then Diversion installation failed.
It looks like something went wrong. But i remembered that few weeks ago i updated Diverion to new version and it was ok.
What to check and how to fix that?

Pixelsrv-tls is also not online by ip addres it was designated to.
you may have a corrupt usb device or your jffs may need reformatting/re-configuring. The only time i have seen diversion go missing is if it is not properly starting or there is some sort of corruption.

Just curious are there any plans for the WebGUI tab beyond what it is now? Also I assume the 2 test tabs are just that and don't actually have any purpose? Thanks...

I, too, was wondering about the 2 test buttons...

You are correct on the purpose of the test tabs. The fully functional and complete Diversion WebUI will be available when it's done.

I can't wait. :Do_Oo_O:cool:. Keep us in suspense.

Thanks for the info. I hope you did not take my inquiry as an ask about 'when will it be done'. I was only asking so that I could decide if I wanted to keep the option enable in anticipation of an update when it is done OR disable it as it is what it is and will be nothing more. :)

I had to completely remove it. For what ever reason, it would after a day or so peg the CPU's at 100% and eat all the memory on my RT-ac68. Reboot all is good for 24 - 48 hours. But oddly this never surfaced until I upgraded to fiber.

It's all good man.

"It" being what?

Yeah, how is your WebUI coming along?

This sounds more like a USB drive problem than a Diversion issue. You probably have some bad blocks on your USB drive.
I am not 99% sure. I have done everything and anything including uninstalling WebUI foe Diversion, Skynet and format the drive to catch any bad blocks. However what I did notice if I install uiDivStats it seems to send the CPU up about 10% and memory use up 25%. It pegs CPU from time to time then drops to run around 25% with it not installed CPU usage is about the 3% and Memory is normal around 100mb used. Shown is without uiDevStats. Going to let it run for the next couple days. Then install uiDivStats

uiDivStats is different and created by @Jack Yaz. Have a look at that forum for your issue. Alot of people (myself included) had that same issue but resolved it by either uninstalling it or getting a faster usb drive.

So my usb drive just died and I bought a new one. Installer entware and everything is fine. But diversion is causing my dns to not work. I have a DoT setup from Merlin wan settings. It used to work fine but now it won't work. Everytime diversion is enabled. I can't do any dns request from my devices. Also tried reinstalling diversion with the clean option. Also tried removing both SkyNet and diversion, then installing both clean again. Same thing. Any ideas?

Also on diversion install it always said waiting for dnsmasq and timing out. For some reasons.

For info I'm using AC86U on .19 . Should be fine since it used to be fine, but after this new clean install it just won't work

If the 'clean install' didn't include 'Format the JFFS partition on the next boot', it was not a clean install. :)

What steps were done specifically with the new USB drive and 'clean install'?

Clean install both the diversion and SkyNet. Also I did jffs format. But idk. It was before my usb was dead. So yeah it could be because of some leftovers diversion stuff. But it should've been removed anyways. Since I've installed the diversion script again and uninstall it again before reinstalling it again. So it should've been able to remove all of those leftovers files.

Enable diversion and then run dnsmasq --test to see if the resulting config file has any errors. Also make sure your new USB has a disk label.
