Which router? And posting here I assume you're running this fork?

Router: T-Mobile AC1900. (Fork)
Somehow my TV keeps losing connection with DLNA of the router and I had to reboot to get DLNA connection again. It didn't matter if I was connected by wired or wireless.

I also encountered this problem on Tmobile AC1900 running update 3 fork while updating the router using Firefox. But I was still able to connect using Chrome!

Searching around the Firefox settings I found that this setting in Tools-> Options -> Advance -> Network -> "The following websites are allowed to store data for offline use" dialog. After removing the router's entry in the dialog I was able to connect to the router using Firefox again.

Same here, also using TMobile AC1900 and update 3 of fork, when I click tools page it eventually goes to a white/grey background and blacktext saying "Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh.
Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from TM-AC1900.
To access the settings of TM-AC1900, reconnect to the wireless network and use the updated IP address and port number."

I flashed the latest 376.47 firmware, eveyrthing works, but when I try to flash back to the fork update 3, can't get to the router page, and only the white/grey page i mentioned above showed up....

Also flashed the update 1 (no update 2 download available..) and same thing, tools page gives a white/grey update page and no more access to router...

Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Every Internet page that I try to visit (Yahoo for example) pops up the 'router' login page and asked me for the router login and password. If I type that in, I can go to the page. I have cleared cache of all of my browsers and still no luck. Only way to get rid of it is to reboot the router. I'm running the 3rd generation fork from this thread (haven't updated to the latest). Going to the router setup page is no issue (still have to login). I tried to login and logout and still asks for router login / password on every Internet page.

If I hit cancel or enter the wrong router password, it sends me to the Unauthorized Access Page.

I'm really at a loss on this one...

Only things I can possibly think of:

Are you running a proxy server of some type? Maybe that's getting confused somehow when the router shuts down for the code load.

If on Windows, in IE, got to Internet Options/Connections/LAN Settings and make sure everything is unchecked. I know these settings are under IE, but they have effects throughout the system.

Otherwise, try and capture the syslog if it happens again.

Have you checked the minidlna.log file? It's in a minidlna subdirectory on the drive with the files.

I'm still on build 03 and mine has started doing the router password prompt that someone else mentioned.

When trying to view web pages a router sign-on prompt appears for port 80 at the router's IP address.

Just updated to Fork 4 and so far so good Running 45 minutes no hiccups. All my devices including iPhones, iPads etc., connected without issues. All WiFi extenders work as promised in AC 5GHz speed with my 68U router.

QoS or H/A? I just chatted with Asus and they recommend QoS, cause, they said, the H/A bypasses Network Stacks and you don't really know which stacks it bypasses to give you the speed and thus it makes the Network more venerable....! What do you guys say and use?

Are you on Windows? Yesterday was 'patch Tuesday' for Microsoft. (I personally haven't put them on yet)

Are you running an adblock or tracking protection and got a rules update?

This happened several times over the last few weeks. Only happens when I reboot the modem (that I know of) and only way to fix it was to reboot the router. No rebooting of PC's, etc. at all.

Hardware Acceleration is only necessary for WAN speeds faster than 120-150 Mbps (N66/AC66) or 300 Mbps (AC56/AC68/AC87).

HW acceleration has nothing to do with security, it's purely a performance feature.

This happened several times over the last few weeks. Only happens when I reboot the modem (that I know of) and only way to fix it was to reboot the router. No rebooting of PC's, etc. at all.

Might be worth it to clear out the modem info back to the ISP....poweroff the modem/router for at least 10 minutes....plug in modem and wait for sync, then turn on router.

I figured out my problem. I had a router admin logout success page open in a tab and somehow managed to hit the back button on that tab, which in turn prompted the router sign-on box to appear over my active tabs.

OK, found it. Looked in the logs after rebooting and found out that the redirect on error (Link or Wan) was turned on. After the connection came up, it seems that the redirect stayed on. I disabled it and the pages now load correctly.

I'm just curious... How does this fork compare to the 376.45 or 376.47?

I've been using 376.47 but and I'm not very happy with the wifi stability which works for me only a few days until the speed starts crawling... and I have to reboot

My first thought was to revert back to 376.45 which worked much better but the I saw this fork

Any recommendations? When should I use this fork instead of the official merlin release?

I'm using my router only for wifi stuff i.e. no "media bridge" or other fancy features and just want it to be as stable as possible.

I use this Fork on both my N66U and AC68U and in my opinion it's the most stable firmware i have ever used and have no intentions on using any of the newer 376.xx firmwares..
