TUF-AX5400. anyone having issues with beta2?

388.1_0-gnuton0_beta2: slow gui. cfg_server high memory load. factory reset, clear nvram, still the same.
388.1_0-gnuton0_beta1: ok, no issue

They’re not—it’s just that the 386.9 is showing as the most recent release. Scroll down a bit and you’ll see the 388.1 beta 2, which remains the latest release for 388 thus far.

DSL-AC68U owners use https://github.com/gnuton/asuswrt-merlin.ng/releases/tag/386.9_0-gnuton0_beta1 instead, the 388 branch is not for that hardware.

On the XT8, not just with the current beta but the last 1-2 versions also, when I login the page only partially loads, I have to refresh once or twice for the web interface to fully load. After that the web interface is fairly responsive. This could just be me and be fixed with a device reset, but I don’t want to go through the trouble of setting up the router and nodes again.

Haha! Spend a half hour once vs. 5 minutes 20 times each? But it may be something else.

I'm of the mindset that when trying something "new" like that a clean slate better tells me what I want to know.

No. Different devices, they each require their own specific firmware.

@JWoo somebody was saying there was memory leak in the previous stable and in the end it has been proved there was no.But feel free to test it. The memory will consolidate around a certain mem usage without blowing.

I think 388.1_0-gnuton1 may have a leak, unless it's a ram stored log that just grows a lot. If it's a leak it's either very slow to grow, or it's caused by QoS (cake), or the QoS - WAN/LAN Bandwidth Monitor, and perhaps only if you change settings a lot or turn the latter on/off a lot.

After 75 days my DSL-AX82U was down to ~50MB free if the Bandwidth Monitor was on, ~130MB with it off.
After a reboot it's now ~130MB with the monitor on, 199 MB with it off which is around what I remember from the last boot, and previous builds.
I have not tried 388.2_2 builds yet, waiting to see more feedback.
