With each of your phones, what speed are they showing as connecting with the N66U? Thanks.
Sorry for the delay, both show 150Mbps.

Thus far, I'm not having any problems with the new firmware on 5GHz.
If you're having problems, then try removing your wireless profiles and then reconnect. See what happens.

Clear your browser cache and then reload the GUI. You should now see the updated version number within the GUI. That is all. As you were.Well, what's really strange is that the download page is showing 272, but the file coming down is 271 and is showing as 271 on the device interface after installation.
Sorry to take this thread slightly OT. I've had this router for a little over a year and a half and I'm only now getting into the "guts" of it by updating firmware. I'm a little confused at all the firmware ver. numbers listed on this thread. Last night I updated the firmware through the Asus web based UI and it updated to ver. 3.0.0.4.260. That's going directly from the UI. But going to the Asus web site and reading this thread I see that there are different vers with higher numbers. Should I DL the latest from the Asus site and flash that or just stick with what I have? I'll appreciate any info.
Thanks.
If nothing is broken, I'd say don't bother. If ya just want to upgrade, stick with .27x builds or something is likely going to end up broken =/
@bad teddy
You should try using a power line adapter for your Xbox. I've used them in the past for HD video streaming and gaming with consoles and they worked fine.
Maybe send thiggins a pm to see if you can test and do the write up for the ones he has.
Obviously, I assume that it is not possible to use Ethernet to wire your Xbox.
I guess you could try power line and if it doesn't work, you can return to the store. I didn't have any lag when gaming over power line adapter.
Thankfully nothing seems to be broken. I just wanted to know what, if anything, I might have been doing wrong or if maybe there was something broken. I went ahead and flashed the 271/272 firmware since there seems to be a general agreement that it's a good ver. Still, curious as to why the newest updates aren't being picked up through the router's UI.
Thanks.
