Hi,Any idea when we can expect a new Merlin firmware for the RT-N66U router based on the ASUS Version 3.0.0.4.370 firmware?
Thank you for you time and great firmware......
And no offense to Merlin, but I thought he was doing the firmware as a hobby (like you said) and because it was something he like to do, not something to make money.
Hey guy I think you are taking this way too personally. No one is attacking you even though your tone is more combative with each successive post. I always try and take 48 hours before sending anything out there that can be interpreted as anything other than a peaceful "exchange". I just wish I have always followed that advice...I too have a hobby, working on computers. I have fixed a lot of computers for people for free because they have little to no money. However, I need tools to continue to do this. Would you like to donate money to me so I can continue to do this?
My whole point was, I NEVER DEMANDED THAT MERLIN WRITE FIRMWARE FOR ME AND I NEVER DEMANDED THAT HE TELL ME WHEN HE WAS GOING TO RELEASE HIS NEXT VERSION!
Shibby's new 110 version has a version for the RT-AC66U.Yes, and now quite interesting discussion started at Tomato forums in threads of Shibby and Victek with new FWs prepared recently there.
Hope will try one of last fws soon. So guy you have the alternatives.
Sorry if my post seem a bit rude. I thought forums were for asking questions, which is what I did. I did not like it when someone started saying I was demanding an answer to my question, which I wasn't. If my question gets answered, OK, if it doesn't get answered, that's OK too.Hey guy I think you are taking this way too personally. And that is an very understandable sentiment even if it may be misplaced. I have always found that waiting 48 hours to be very sound advice. Sometimes, when you reread something the next day you get a completely different take or at least I know that I have. The problem with these forums is much the same as with email, it is often impossible to discern intent. Or perhaps I should say it is very easy to misinterpret the intent behind a written message if emoticons are absent.Sorry if my post seem a bit rude.
