I see, it officially supports these routers:
- Netgear R7000
- Linksys EA6900
- Huawei WS880
Anyone using them with AB-Solution please report...
So do II'm using your Adblock service on a R7000 together witch a custom backlist, I hope the GUI would support custom back/whitelist without the need to ssh each time to add a site
How about this: http://en.code-bude.net/2013/02/12/how-to-create-an-ext4-partition-on-windows/Too complicated for me. Even looking at the how to format a usb to ext format was puzzling. I think this is for the tech heads. If there is a Dummies installation and easy to follow GUI then I will install it, otherwise I can live with Adblock for now on all my clients.

And that would be handy to be built into AB-Solution. Not sure how far back in Asuswrt-Merlin fdisk, mkfs, e2fsck and tune2fs are part of the firmware.Too complicated for me. Maybe @RMerlin can answer that.
OK, thanks for confirming.AFAIK, they've always been there.

Create an ext3 partition if possible.
Ah so much easier using that application.
I followed your instructions in the thread to install and everything works fine thankyou.

I just need to get my head around the advanced stuff mentioned here:

As I have no idea what to do with the code snipets being posted.
Let it be. Enjoy your ad free browsing and come back for answers when you need help with something. AB-Solution works just fine without tinkering. As I have no idea what to do with the code snipets being posted.
Why would you think so? Built in Ad Blocking will not be part of Asuswrt-Merlin.Hi guys
So is this planned to be merged with AsusWRT-Merlin ? cause im working on my own blocker and really dont want it to be default more of a optional if anything inside the firmware, btw i added both AB-Solution and my script on the Wiki for AsusWRT-Merlin.
PS.
sry for being a party crasher.
NP, can you link to the wiki you mentioned? Can't find it.Ahh k sry for the mixup then
Didn't look in pixelserve. Yours is basically the manual version of AB-Solution, "Adblocking with a combined hosts file" that I posted here about two years ago.https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin/wiki/How-to-use-Adblock-using-Pixelserv
Right here added yours and mine
mine is a more minimal solution but effective
