Release RT-BE92U Firmware Firmware version 3.0.0.6_102_37523-g25e34fa_1096-gff526 03/27/2025

I use macOS for my primary OS, and Linux as secondary. On the mac side of things I use Keka which is a multi archive supported compressor / de-compressor. Has always worked well. I was going to initially download the zip from the Asus site and upload it here to this thread, but the site won't accept a zip file. Sounds like at this point even if the site took it, it wouldn't have helped, since the file itself was incorrectly processed and uploaded by Asus.

I have an RT-AX86U as a backup to the BE92U, in case I had issues and needed to go back to that router. Seems like the latest RT-AX86U update is also causing issues for people. Maybe not this particular issue but functionality issues with certain things such as AIMesh nodes. So, I haven't bothered to update it yet since the RT-BE92U seems stable now.

I just checked the support site, and the firmware I posted about is no longer listed. Here is what the site says now:

Firmware

ASUS RT-BE92U Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_37506

Version 3.0.0.6.102_37506

54.82 MB

2025/02/27

SHA-256 :37DD912B3F8F24A816BDDAF9D2B7B802BB9F5FDD0ED9285D22ABE7D3842E6D8C

Stability and security enhancements.

Also Note, that I switched to the US site. Even though I didn't need to, I should have tried extracting the zip yesterday when I had it to upload to the site, to see if it got the corruption errors on the mac.

The ZIP file that I was downloading for 3.0.0.6_102_37523 is only 11.93 MB in size, no wonder it's broken

Turns out I've been to India more than once without knowing... 🤭

Doesn't seem like Asus can fix this firmware update.

Don't think so, the only option AFAIK is to download it from the URL used by the router and that, at this point, is a good file.
Well, the good news seems to include that Asus has increased the number of updates released. So, maybe people own't have to wait too long for the next one.

Yes. One would think Asus would push out the update quite soon as it has been a while since the failed release of 3.0.0.6_102_37523

Replacement firmware update 3.0.0.6.102_37526 pushed out by Asus on the mobile app as a "stability update" for the RT-BE92U.

The bootloader is updated again. This time to bootloader version U-Boot2019.07(03/31/2025-12:01:07+0800)50404p3@523100.
