Just updated. Graph looks great.
Nice Jack!

testing.
after spdmerlin develop, there was no chart
run speed test, chart shows up.
works great, look great! so much better. definitely prefer starting at zero too.
but if you click both upload and download and disable both, the chart gets into a weird state (no data or invalid data) that it can't recover from, unless i reload the page. but it does not happen all the time bummer, maybe my browser (edge)
in any case, this is a fantastic update. so much easier to read! thanks!

you should be able to click on them again to restore them - if you managed to zoom accidentally press Reset Zoom, or Esc on the keyboard

couldn't reproduce the weird behavior. working fine now on edge and Firefox

If anyone is super keen on testing...
Code:
spdmerlin develop
Any way/chance the upload and download part can be flip when hovering with mouse? OCD killing me with that. o_O

Great job @Jack Yaz

Hi,

Quick Q - is spdmerlin for ARM based routers only?

The reason I ask is that I've tried to install onto a MIPS based RT-N66U and got the following:-

After a bit of digging I worked out that the Ookla speedtest check was crashing:-

Copying the speedtest binary onto another box gave me:-

Suspect this isn't going to work unless there's a MIPS based check from Ookla?
Sorry for late reply. Unfortunately Ookla only list binaries for these platforms:

Feedback wanted! Rather than having separate charts for download and upload, and a set of charts shown separately for each period, I'm considering opting for a combined chart, with a dropdown selector for the period you want to see, which would look something like this: https://puu.sh/FNOuF/089b74fc7d.png

What are people's thoughts on this? This isn't something that I can make "either or", and would be a replacement for the existing design which would cease to exist

NOTE: CSVs would still be exported for each period, but download and upload would be comnbined

Yes please, and a similar revamp of connmon (so that “quality” gets changed to show a spike in whatever it measures rather than being 100% - a 3% drop looks too stab-like)...then you can move the 2 graphs into one tab so things can get compared. Seeing these metrics on one page - all 5 of them - could be invaluable.
Wouldn’t this make things more efficient - maintaining one db rather than 2?

Ok, but what about the rest?
Do what you will with my $0.02

v3.6.0 is now available!
Changelog:
Code:
CHANGED: Download and upload speeds are now shown in a single chart
CHANGED: Dropdown to select which time range to view, no longer 1 chart for each
FIXED: Timestamps were in UTC for Last 10 results
Please note you will need to run a speedtest after updating to generate the new format files required

- This looks awesome.
- And a big THANK YOU for implementing my feature request to 'fix the vertical scale start value to 0 instead of auto-scaling to min(lowest value)'.

@Jack Yaz, looking good, really like the combined graphs!
My only comment is that with Toggle Lines ON, my “Average” speeds tend to be buried and unreadable under Max and Min. Could they be spaced out horizontally so they were all readable. Not sure what the answer ...

No need to apologise at all - we really appreciate your hard work and support which I suspect is being done in your own time :)

This, together with repeated JFFS errors, has spurred me into replacing my trusty old RT-N66U with an RT-AC86U so isn't an issue for me now. Perhaps worth a check for the older MIPS based routers in the install script?
