Ok, I changed my blocking list to small and now I'm able to stream. I appreciate the help that was given to me.:)
This is what I have to whitelist for CBS All Access to work
Code:
cbsinteractive.hb.omtrdc.net
cws.conviva.com
imasdk.googleapis.com
pubads.g.doubleclick.net

@kernol, how's testing coming along? Any issues. I dont think my RTAC86U can't handle these but I'm willing to try them!

Still going strong - speedy and stable :D. Just opened 54 bookmarks simultaneously in new window on Chrome - all completed in 6 seconds.

Regarding CPU tweaks, I tried L&LD's settings for the AC86U and noticed some slow down after a while. It could have been something else causing it though and I suppose that it depends a lot on what else the router is running. Would be good to work out solid base settings for specific models.

It had me thinking, I wonder how much better Unbound would run on separate hardware, like a Pi4, and whether that would be worth doing.

Is there a changelog for the latest update/version 2.11?

Edit:
How do I update?
"u" or "i"?

Given the old adage

"code never lies, comments sometimes do"
there is a link at the bottom of post #1 to GitHub, so you can see every single edit for v2.11 (including minor edits not worthy of disclosure in the Release note comments)

I have configured unbound ad blocker and it is pretty good. Now, that begs a question, do I need Diversion and pixelserv installed?
Also, I noticed in the most current version that even though I enabled ad blocker in unbound in the main menu (2 3) it still shows as "no".

See this post

What does the output of '?' show?

Anyone here using PIA VPN with unbound? Any special settings required to set up correctly? Just curious how folks are running a VPN with unbound i.e.

-i'm using Diversion so I set DNS configuration to 'strict' and under custom I've inputted dhcp-option DNS 1.1.1.1.

Any additional info is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey @Xentrk, would you have the urls for CNNgo?
From viewing the webpage source code, I only see these to hostnames being used:
Code:
cnn.com
turner.com

Looks like it is being hosted on a CDN named fastly

Code:
 nslookup go.cnn.com
Server: 127.0.0.1
Address 1: 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain

Name: go.cnn.com
Address 1: 2a04:4e42::323
Address 2: 151.101.193.67
Address 3: 151.101.1.67
Address 4: 151.101.65.67
Address 5: 151.101.129.67

That's good, I'll keep my blocking file at medium and that should do it. Thank you a lot for your help.

I found the urls for cnn in my blacklist.

Code:
customad.cnn.com
metrics.cnn.com

Thanks again for your help.

I've installed unbound, statistics say I have a 97% hit ratio.
When I run nslookup on the router, it returns 1.1.1.1 as DNS.
Is this normal? I've set 1.1.1.1 as DNS in WAN settings (DoT, strict profile)

@Ubimo, what version of RMerlin are you running and on which router? I haven't seen the 'run' command in ages!

How did you get the “Run Command” tab under Tools? Does this come with the Unbound installation?

I'm on 384.15. The run command was always there.
So, is this normal when I nslookup from my router?
