This tool seems to display a lot of useful information compared to the traditional Wifi analyzers we're used to see on Windows.

The ability to report 802.11 extensions is really nice. It allowed me to confirm for instance that Asus did indeed enable 802.11v support in their recent RT-AC68U firmware release.

This tool is miles ahead of the previous free tools I've seen on any platform.

A small shout-out to @Kross888 for bringing WinFi Lite to my attention in this thread.

It certainly looks good to me (especially for a free tool). The information shown is similar to NirSoft's WifiInfoView, except that the UI of WifiInfoView is rather clunky.

For Macs - WiFi Explorer is the go to tool to have... it's not free, but one that many WLAN pro's have in their toolkit.

@RMerlin - nice find on the WinFI - it's similar to AcrylicWiFi - I'll have to download it and give it a try...

The link doesn’t work anymore for me. Does anyone know where the downloadable executable or portable version of the file is please? All other links send you to tethabyte which seems to be a gaming site of dubious trustworthiness.
