    I had the same issue on my RT-AX88U. Think it has to do with an extra installed busybox or so. When I removed the symlink uname in /opt/bin it's generating: ASUSWRT-Merlin That's what we want.

    I Have now killall ntp enabled and I have rebooted the router just 3 minutes ago. I will wait for 15 minutes and check if the message is gone. (* Reminder: The system time has not been synchronized with an NTP server.) Router is up for 15 minutes now and the message doesn't disappear.

    Question for jackYaz: Because of the killall ntp I have the following message on my RT-AX88U: * Reminder: The system time has not been synchronized with an NTP server. I don't know if this is a problem or just a check if system ntp is running and couldn't get the time. Please advise.

    I don't know what you mean with this, because I don't clone anything before a firmware upgrade. I install the firmware and everything is working without any adjustments.
