When Entware is installed and the firmware amtm is present, the latter should start and migrate. When running the regular amtm install command from the diversion.ch website on a firmware that has the built in amtm version, magic will happenI get that point that's why I specifically asked AFTER we UPGRADE to 384.15........
And by your previous reply, I deduced the FW amtm version will automatically handle the removal part (if that's how it will deal with it) of the regular amtm already installed on it.
I had the exact same experience

I'm working on it.Strange error when updating, see end of below:

I pulled the v3.1.0 version from the server until I found the reason for this permission denied error.
-sh: amtm: not found
If amtm is embedded in the firmware, does that mean you will be unable to release bug fixes independent of firmware releases (which are few and far between)?
I think I'd prefer the option to continue running the standalone amtm, so prompt updates are possible.
Thank you Asad, I missed that.As stated in original announcement, both amtm versions will get the updates at the same time and they're not firmware dependant.
That's why there are two versions now. They act the same but are different how they internally work. And of course, both versions receive updates. If amtm is embedded in the firmware, does that mean you will be unable to release bug fixes independent of firmware releases (which are few and far between)?

I updated the old 3.1 to the new 3.1, but I still cannot open amtm by just typing it into terminal (see amtm - the SNBForum Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu)Fixed, amtm v3.1.0 is again available to install. Sorry for the inconvenience. For those that have it already installed, just run the regular u update.
Log out from your SSH client then back in.I updated the old 3.1 to the new 3.1, but I still cannot open amtm by just typing it into terminal (see amtm - the SNBForum Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu)
Any suggestions?
Verify the following line in /jffs/configs/profile.addI updated the old 3.1 to the new 3.1, but I still cannot open amtm by just typing it into terminal (see amtm - the SNBForum Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu)
Any suggestions?
alias amtm='/jffs/scripts/amtm' # added by amtm
That's the reason to log out of the SSH session. Those that don't have Entware installed get that added. But it requires a log out first to kick in.Verify the following line in /jffs/configs/profile.add
Code:alias amtm='/jffs/scripts/amtm' # added by amtm
So you have Entware installed then. Try typing amt only and press the TAB key, it should complete it to amtm. Thanks for the quick replies!
I logged out and nothing changed after logging back in.
Should I create the file profile.add manually in configs then?
Edit: since the file is not present in configs
It is really weird it just does not want to find amtm now, whereas before it worked flawlessly. So you have Entware installed then. Try typing amt only and press the TAB key, it should complete it to amtm.
