I suspect your router is defective. Before mine died... and I'm glad it died completely... it interfered with browsing (page load) and probably other traffic I did not notice.

As you notice, this firmware performs well... and then your router hardware glitches.

People here were never right about nearly anything people posted and proved as firmware errors. Im sure my hardware is fine its firmware thats not working optimal.

I don't see a fw not working well proof. It's working excellent actually.
I see the same person having constant issues with different fw versions. What's going on?

I know that you like 90% people here watch facebook and youtube so you close eye on delays and stuff but from gaming perspective it will hit like a truck and no matter what you do with this firmware after some time it crawls and reboot wont help only reset and setup again will make it work like it should.

I hate to admit it, this firmare is pretty good, actually no issues at all, only issue I have is with clients. My notebook when woken up from sleep sometimes shows super slow speeds at 5GHz,
I reboot and all good, don't think the router is to blame...
If I had any sustained isssues I'd replace that router box ASAP and see what happens.
Just switched our home to voIP for the landline, lets not forget the kids demands for Wi-Fi :)
A good stable network is more important than water these trying times :)

If I'm reading you correctly, you are disagreeing with yourself. :)

How can other users confirm this firmware issue that you are experiencing?

Have you tried loading the connection first to see if it recovers to 'show' normal speeds?

"Loading the connection"? How? You mean right click > troubleshoot problems in Windows 10?

No, I mean use it... pump network traffic through it and then inspect the reported speed.

Aaah, OK, not sure how to do it, just noticed that my MS-Teams was super slow during a video conference, then checked the status and it showed Speed: ~32 Mbps, usually 866.7 Mbps (5GHz)....

A video conference should be plenty of traffic to wake up the connection. Maybe it's something peculiar to that client.

Yea 3 ppl report exact same bug yet they claim its hardware issue funny enough they judge performance from watching facebook lmao

#edit

Tested just now , at first router performs exceptionally well after few hours it crawls and is unusable nice firmware guys...

Change the router @podkaracz. Go with Netgear.
Your SNB registration is good for whining in Netgear forum too. ;)

PS. You don't look for help. You stop by to complain. Isn't it enough?

Yeah, I think so, pretty new Lenovo Yoga but constant sleep and wake up may not be helpful....
Had my 5GHz settings in the router set to: 20/40/80MHz, will set to 80MHz, maybe that helps?
Notebook says 160MHz somewhere...

@tallytr if rebooting that laptop clears the issue, it's not with the router then. :)

Got it, also Lenovo had some new driver for the network...I thought I had installed it and the issue came up again, not worried and as you said, not router related....

Irony that last firmware is best and worst at the same time . Because best for 1 hour worst for the rest of time. Im sticking with latest firmware with all security fixes (3.0.0.4.384.81352 ) kr00k and stuff until they sort out latest to perform optimally. Also "experts" how is that all firmwares have normal down/upload speeds just delay is higher compared to 45717 and lastest after 1 hour falls at all fronts? Hardware fails only on 1 firmware ? Yea obvious hardware issue kekw

I would just pick up a new box, they are so inexpensive when you think of it, why not getting the RT-AX88U?
I'll get the RT-AX86U once available just to pay some money towards the people at ASUS, I guess the hardware pays for the support/firmware updates?

This is dumbest thing ive read here in my opinion ( no offense ) . By buying premium products you should demand premium treatment and premium performance . Your post suggests that we should put even more money for latest not tested ( probably same problems as here ) product without pushing Asus to work harder its couter productive . If the last firmware will perform all the time like it does in 1st hour i wont have nothing to say here on this forum but sadly its the worst firmware after 1 hour because it becomes unusable with slow down of bandwith and delay which shows off in jumping ping. Performance wise i never thought that router might perform this bad for this price because i had 1 old linksys and 1 tp link and after i put them i forgot they exist this is how i describe good router in case of my 86u price is directly proportionate to amount of problems we have with it . I have hope because latest firmware really showed up at least for 1 hour.
