I just went back to 32407 from 33608. Experienced frequent device drop outs of Sonos speakers that I didn't have before as well as a lot of web UI bugs.
For example, when changing wireless control channels and bandwidth it switched from WPA3-Personal to Open System upon applying changes.

33608 is gone in SPF11.1_Firmware map.
Now there is: RT-AX89U_3.0.0.4_388_33654

How do we know what are the release notes for those versions? I can't seem to find anything about them online
Looks like it is not a 9.0.0.4 beta version so it is the closest we have for the official version

My router was rebooting itself every few days spontaneously, with no errors in the log while running the latest non beta firmware. I decided to try to install 33673 to see if that changed the behavior, and after 9 days, no reboots yet.

After 18 days on 33673, I had my first issue. The 5Ghz radio stopped working on my AX89X. All wireless clients connected to 2.4 GHz, and on the router, the 5GHz indicator light was dark. 5GHz was working fine on the my 4 mesh nodes, but not on the AX89X (main router). Issue was fixed with a reboot, and it hasn't reoccurred yet. I'm curious if it's tied to the problem reported by one user where their ethernet ports stopped working.

I did not have time to go into the setting and try and look at the 5GHz radio and see if I could turn it back on. I'll do that if it reoccurrs.

Thanks for reporting in

I saw something similar to this on .33673 last night. I had two WiFi devices that could see the 5GHz network and attempted to connect to it, but upon re-connection the signal was unusually weak, there was no Internet access, and within seconds they'd be booted off the network.

Because I needed connectivity at the time, I didn't troubleshoot extensively or test with additional devices. A reboot (via the GUI using a wired client) solved the issue.

In other news, it's a little unsettling to see the beta firmware downloads vanish. With such long spans between official releases, that was my only way to ensure security updates and the only sign that Asus gave to indicate the AX89X was still on their radar. I think I'm just going to shift to an OPNsense mini PC router and reduce my AiMesh system to handling WiFi clients.
