I did a Hard factory Reset by WPS on my RT-AX86U , flashed it & Factory default Reset.
I flashed to Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.4.
It works well, except this strange screenshot of a Somfy Connexoon attached to it
I never saw this on other Firmwares.
Any idea?
That happen to me with apple tv, when is in mode standby just work at 100mb and router show that warning i think its normal.

Yesterday, I had suspected the usb thumb drive but today's adventures were no better with the usb completely unplugged. I'm a network guy but certainly not a coder. Despite my efforts there must be something that doesn't get wiped by either factory reset or wps reset. even with everything wiped when I went back to 388..2.2, it knew about my old dhcp pool. regardless, I'll leave it on Asus code for now. I work from home and I need something stable.

This is quite strange as my 3 RT-AX88U Pros are all behaving. I have no USB storage connected. Just to be certain (and I know I am probably teaching granny to suck eggs if you are a CCIE, you are following Asus method 2 with no external storage devices attached?
1. Turn the router off.
2. Press and hold the "WPS" button and turn the router on.
3. Power light is on (keep holding the WPS button).
4. Release the WPS button after the power light is off.
5. Reboot your router by manually pressing the power button.

All of my devices are hardware version 1.0 - Does it become unstable before configuration or could it be a particular config setting? Mine are rock solid so I would like to try to help.

I flash, reset the config and then configure SSH, use AMTM to install YAZDHCP, set my Wifi SSID and password, 20Mhz 2.4Ghz and fixed channels on both, load in static IP and then turn on Cake for QoS. That's all. I then add the other 2 AX88U Pros as mesh nodes - all ethernet backhaul.

Incidentally how are you finding 3.0.0.6 as I had issues with my WiFi - I found that all 3 routers ignored the configured WiFi channels and widths

Hi,
My Raptue AX6000 is spamming this message:

It apears only when i activate the wlan scheduler for the 2.4 GHZ band. From monday to friday, i set the timer to deactivate the 2.4 GHZ band. ( from 6 am to 6pm )

it`s saying: " cs scan failed (ret=-22) and try after 60 min ". The bug is: acsd: acs_scan_timer is starting after 60seconds, not 60 minutes.

My whole log is full of those entrys.

Running Merlin FW: 3004.388.4 , same issue with the previous release..

Thanks will test on ax86u.
Other ax86u users, does your Bootloader cfe version still read 0.0.0.6?
Just updated AX86S and Bootloader CFE listed as 1.0.0.4

I'm experiencing a random reboot of my AX86S every two days.
I'm also running Diversion, Skynet and Connmon.
I've a 32GB stick with 1GB swap on it.
I cannot see anything strange in syslog.

I installed 388.4 on two XT12. One is main router, other is aimesh node. On the Aimesh node only 2.4Ghz comes up. 5Ghz-1 is not showing. However the wireless backhaul on 5Ghz-2 is fine. I tried different channel configurations, but cannot find a solution. I even tried with full factory reset of both devices, but the issue persists.

Hey, for 3.0.0.6, the only bone I have to pick is that any change in parameters for wifi on the router causes clients to disconnect.
I haven't had any wifi drops. For 5GHz, I disable 160MHz due to previous issues with some devices and force it to 80Mhz channel width using auto channel for N/AC/AX
For 2.4ghz, it's N only with 20/40 set.

as far as my reset procedure:
My power light would never go off on wps reset. It would get brighter after 10 seconds hold time. It happened every time I tried a wps reset.
power unit off, hold wps, power unit back on, wait for power light to go off (gets brighter after 10 seconds), power router off/on

all in all, did WPS reset, then did factory pin reset, then logical reset via

all with USB removed.
I didn't even have any software installed for 388.4. I had skynet, amtm, entware and flexqos but removed them as part of my earlier trouble shooting.

my 3.0.0.6 upgrade didn't need a wps reset as it worked right on upgrade.

If you're performing a full reset on the router, and then you insert a previously used amtm USB drive, you've negated any reset you think you did.

my upload speed seemed halved on 388.4 vs 388.2_2 so I rolled back on my GT-AX6000

seems as soon as I did, it went up

500/500 connection sometimes hits 600/600 but I was getting like upper 400's to lower 500's down and 200 best up. After downgrade, 400. And on re-runs in 500 to lower 600 up.

Dont know if coincidence but seems sorta odd

no usb installed as I was waiting for stability first.

If there is no stability at that point, it indicates hardware issues (or at least, those initial configuration changes past defaults).

Before inserting that previously used amtm USB drive into the router, be sure you format it on a PC in NTFS format. Then, once inserted into the router, use amtm to format it as Ext4 w/journaling and the largest swap file amtm allows.

That's always been the case regardless of firmware version or router model.
not for me. Before, I could always add mac-addresses to the ACL on the fly and not experience any disconnects. Now any changes done on 3.0.0.6 regarding seemingly any wifi parameters drops the signal.
