Firefox set to use DoH/DNSSEC with Cloudflare never saw the problems. All browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, an so on) tested did, regardless of device, DOT configured on the router or not, with WAN DNS set to Cloudflare/Google/others did, on every dnsmaq restart until the router settled down from the reload of dnsmasq.
Firefox and other browsers can use DoT if enabled. Not DNSSEC.

If you're testing to the extent I was for the condition I was testing for, you set up to bypass the router's dnsmasq/DNS

Firefox if using DOH (disable to use DOT)

Everything else, using DOT, configure on the router

or using it's own DNS (fixed IP and config), neither DOT or DOH

Pick your poison...
My test was't about DOT or DOH it was what was cauing the performace to slow and DNS resolutions to fail, for randomly for few minutes at a time
Found out those things seemed happend when dnsmasq restarted, and ceased when the router/dnsmasq stabilized.

All good...

3004.388.6_2 is now available.

Thanks everyone that participated in this test cycle - locking the thread.
