Working OK on my BE88U.
Using an AX88U Pro as a mesh node which is working fine now I've put it on stock 3.0.0.6.102_33320. Some guest networks were not present on the node with 3.0.0.4 FW

Not had any issue with android handsets connecting to wifi with 3.0.0.6.102_33928 or 3006.102.2 Beta, as mentioned above. Moto Edge 50 pro and Pixel 9 pro XL both connecting to 2.4 and 5GHz without issue.

I've noticed 5GHz wifi performance is a bit lacking on ax clients compared to my AX88U Pro. Will give it time to settle in before drawing any conclusions, it's only been up for 48 hours.
The web GUI is also a little lethargic.

My major issue, which is not related to 3006.102.2 Beta as also an issue with 3.0.0.6.102_33928, is getting my BT TV (UK) IPTV multicast working. Created a separate thread on that.

Many thanks Merlin. Very much appreciate your work!

Just noticed 802.3ad bonding on LAN1 and 2 is a bit flakey. I use it to connect my HP microserver gen8 running UnRaid, fixed IP.
No idea if it's an issue with 3.0.0.6.102_33928 also but will test when I next switch back.
The bond is fine until I reboot the router. Once back up the GUI shows both LAN and the client (with correct IP) active but I can't access or ping the server so no idea what's happening server side.

Either rebooting the server or toggling Bonding/ Link aggregation disable/enable (which perversely reboots the router) gets it back.
Minor annoyance and plan to fit a 2.5G card in the server now I have spare capacity on the router

Does this means that all routers, who do not support 3006, like my AX68U are now out of support?

The new Beta has been working well for a couple of days on my RT-BE96U. No problems, just cooking along.

I still can't turn off the IoT network though, since the main network doesn't have internet when I do that. From the changes listed in the Beta announcement posting I had hoped that since I use DoT DNS that this might be fixed, but still no internet when IoT network is turned off. Have solved that problem by leaving it on, as before *smile*.

The AX68U is listed as End of Life by Asus so no more support from them. How long Merlin will continue to support the AX68U only he knows.

Unable to reproduce here since I fixed the stubby getting killed issue. Please post your system log following disabling the IoT Guest Network.

Here you go..first thing I did was to re-enable detailed logging after clearing the log. Then I disabled the IoT network, and tried to access the internet on my browser. When that finally timed out, I saved the log.

Hope this helps.

adguard home having same issue as dot, when iot network on, dnsmaq fails to start. if iot turned off adguard home starts but guest network/iot clients wont connect. Forgot to mention, all of this on an be88u.

sh custom_script: Running /jffs/scripts/service-event (args: start dnsmasq)
dnsmasq[47870]: failed to create listening socket for 192.168.52.1: Address already in use
dnsmasq[47870]: FAILED to start up

Adguard home is only available on the RT-BE88U beause it runs a different GPL that includes it. It's however a temporary GPL, so any issuesp resent in it will have to wait until Asus finally provides updated GPLs for all 3006 models.

I did have an issue with the wireless log saying the same hostnames for all clients but after three reboots it started to display the correct hostnames.
Right now I keep getting this in the log.
kernel: Failed delete entry fe80:0000:0000:0000:ee5c:68ff:fed5:6e1d ^M
Otherwise all seems good so far.

This is kind of the same issue I have here with GT-BE98 with Gnuton build

There seems to be a second issue happening only when one single SDN is restarted. It only happens on one of the two routers I tested on, so it may be related to whether there are other SDNs also running at the same time. That will require more digging.

The initial fix addressed when all SDNs were restarted. This new one will address when just the IoT SDN itself is restarted.

I recently bought the BE98 Pro with HW ver 2.

I installed the latest beta, as the 1st firmware after a factory reset to the original.

I copied the settings manually only, from my previous Asus router.

I'm experiencing multiple issues mostly with the wireless setup.

I updated some settings under the professional tab, like roaming RSSI value.

After that the UI of the general WIFI settings is corrupted and missing multiple options.
Also the apply button no longer works, so you can't update the settings.

Please see screen shot attached.

I found out that if I keep changing the settings back and forth in the pro tab, it sometimes let me have the normal UI back, but after a logout and login it returns to be corrupted.

Referring to my post here

Some very odd things going on with multicast routing. If I leave IPTV settings default and factory reset my BT/EE (UK ISP and IPTV provider) STB it doesn't work. However, the STB has a internet connection and on demand apps work.
If I subsequently change the IPTV settings to those in the first post of my thread linked above, the STB locks to the first channel in the EPG and plays fine without any dropout. However if I change the channel it will then no longer lock to any channel, plus all clients including the STB lose connection to the internet. The BE88U still is still connected to the ONT and still has a public IP. I assumed a DNS issue but I've manually set 8.8.8.8 on a client and it makes no difference.
I have to either disconnect the BT STB from the router or factory reset it for clients to be able to connect again. Reboot of router or clients makes no difference.

I've raised an RMA for the BE88U and still have a few more days before I have to decide whether to ditch it or not.
I very much want the features of the BE88U and 3.0.0.6 but I can't live with the IPTV issue and can't live with the ISP's router in line as it causes too many other problems.
I have a ticket open with Asus support and I'll give it a few days to see if they come back with anything meaningful but since this issue exists on the stock 3.0.0.6 firmware for both my AX88U Pro and BE88U and I've read posts from another BT customer on the BT forums with a BE88U who's had no joy with Asus support, I'm not holding much hope of a quick fix from them.

Merlin, is it possible this is something you could look to fix in 3006.102.3 maybe? Or is it not even on your radar at the moment?
If I knew something was being looked at I'd be happy to keep the BE88U as an AP which means I can easily take it out of my network to test as required.

Thanks

Flash the 3006.102.2 Beta on my BE88U and not sure if this "bug" was reported.

It seems the device name for all my connected 2.5Ghz devices "appear" the same.

Anyone faced the same issue?

Thank you

No. That`s Asus' to investigate and/or fix.

Works well on my new BE88U - the only challenge I've recognized is a super laggy UI compared to my AX88U Pro. Building up the initial screen after login takes nearly a minute, same when switching to the Tools Menue. Will do another Reboot via Power Off to see if any difference.

Quick update - figured that DDNS was switched on which seemed to have a negative impact to responsiveness. After another reboot it looks like the UI is faster than before but still away from the snappy UI I experienced on my AX88U Pro.
