Think I will update at the weekend, is the general consensus that this is stable firmware?

I have an AC86U, been on 384.18 for a long time, skipped 384.19 due to reading a lot of issues.

Concerning higher temperature on RT-AC86U:
version 386_41994 (RC2 atm) states: RT-AC86U (solves the problem of high CPU usage)
so the solution maybe is here to come

I upgraded from .18 to 386.1 on an AC86U. I've had no issues other than having to re-install some scripts as they were non functional after the upgrade (spdMerlin and Diversion). A simple re-install fixed that.

You will need to do a reset of the router after flashing 386.1 as the router credentials are encrypted as of 384.19. Also don't forget to format the jffs after your install.

Hi, my RT-AX88U in Site Survey - WiFi Insight only shows my SSID for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz!
+Wireless: Disable WPS + Disable WDS + Disable MAC Filter!
+ReFlash firmware (checksum ok)
+JFFS partition formated
+hard reboot (pull the power plug)

I have a media server HDD mounted on my mesh node is there a way to enter HDD spin down commands via SSH. If so, could someone let me know what these commands are.

If I can do the above is there a way to see node log entries to verify disk is actually spinning up/down. TKS

@XIII
NVRAM Save/Restore Utility has a script named mynvram-save.sh that will allow you to save specific nvram variables.

See post above

That requires having an external USB device attached.

Just set WinSCP to SCP connection type. You do not need to use any extra packages

Note that at least for me, WinSCP kept trying to use SFTP, despite me selecting SCP, unless I actually saved the site in the site list and accessed it from there. Just typing in the Host Name and port number and selecting "SCP" didn't work.

Hi, my RT-AX88U in Site Survey - WiFi Insight only shows my SSID for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz!
Did you go to Advanced Settings | Wireless | Wi-Fi Radar | Wi-Fi Site Survey, which on my computer opens a seperate Tab in Chrome call Wifi Insight, and then go under "Configure" and "Start Data Collection", along with check marking the "Start collecting data every" checkbox, and then days and times you require?

I am a newbie...what is the command to SSH to my node's IP (I do know the IP address)? Could somebody explain this process with a little detail please? We all have to start somewhere. Thanks in advance for your help!

Use the link below and the pertinent commands (only) to get into your router.

For a node, I would guess to use the IP address of the node and everything else (password, etc.) the same as the main router.
