Read that carefully. Where exactly does it say Asus is dropping support as you claim? RMerlin flat out states; "they will still get updates, just not as frequently."

Same thing happens for me with 2 AX86U on 388.1 beta.I know AIMesh is closed-source, but just reporting...
388.1 beta AX86U with AX86S hardwired node, ethernet backhaul only turned on.
If the node is on stock, AIMesh works fine.
If the node is on merlin, it reports as connection being severed, but still assigns clients there.
It will show "Saving" for a few seconds to give time to the router to copy the selected unit to nvram, and after that it will switch to the client page.Found vpn director can't edit clients, goes dirctly to "save settings"
Ctrl-F5 won't work because that panel is in an iframe, you'd have to force-reload the iframe itself. That's why it's recommended to clear the browser cache instead(, or wait for it to expire).nd Ethernet port not display properly (have done Ctrl-F5 clear browser cache)
Entire network. This value was a rough estimate however, the actual throughput will depend on multiple factors.did you mean 300-350 max for the vpn client or for the entire network?
Thanks, I was unsure how should work but working as you described. It will show "Saving" for a few seconds to give time to the router to copy the selected unit to nvram, and after that it will switch to the client page.
Please read the "Other 388 changes" in the first post.no ethernet section
Turnoff anti-virus/malware temporarily maybe?Fails with both Chrome and Edge
HB

So obviously not "End Of Life" yet, no need to abandon AC routers yet. If a feature freeze is what is in store with security updates, bring it on. This is still way more support than any other company would give.
No. In fact some feel it better to use Asus firmware on the nodes.I just purchased two RT-AX92U routers to setup as AIMESH nodes with a GT-AX11000 as the main router. Will I need to divert back to stock firmware on the GT-AX11000 to run the two RT-AX92Us as AIMESH nodes? Or, will they work correctly using Merlin 388.1 Beta on the GT-AX11000? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the response.No. In fact some feel it better to use Asus firmware on the nodes.
