I get the following error when trying to update to the latest beta on my AC66(R). I've tried redownloading from the mirror to make sure it wasn't a corrupted download.

The traffic analyzer statistic continues to be incorrect in the daily chart

I notice that as well but it appears that what it shows in the chart itself is correct as the apps do change when selecting daily/weekly/monthly.
 
Yeah, I've been running Asuswrt-Merlin on my router for the past couple of years so this isn't my first update. Been a long-time lurker and just finally created a username today :)

Can you check the sha256sum.txt against the .trx file to see if it arrives safely for you?

I just tested it here and it checks out fine with the SHA256 hash.
 
There was an AC66U build of 380.58; did that not use Asus GPL 380_1354?

I was patching things together to make the AC66U build with the 380 GPL, it wasn't official code.

Yep - the hash of my trx file matches the text file. This is the first time I've ever encountered this particular error with the firmware (beta or otherwise).
 
In the DHCP static lease page, there are a lot of devices named "new device", it does not take the hostname, which instead is correct

This is how Asus's networkmap code was implemented by them - if you add a device and it doesn't have any assigned name on the networkmap, then it defaults to "New device". Keep in mind that the networkmap description and the DHCP hostname are two separate fields.

Where does the Trend Micro statistics store its information?

Traffic Analyzer is mostly closed source, and its webui is quite confusing to use - I've never really fully understood how it was supposed to work.

In my case, just CTF is being shown as enabled. It used to show CTF+FA until I turned it off after enabling the Statistics deal. Note: with CTF enabled, the Statistics does seem correct as it matches when acceleration is off. Originally when it showed CTF+FA, the statistics was not correct. I had to disable it. Then I re-enabled it and just CTF showed. Strange.

I think Asus recently said that FA was being removed due to its numerous compatibility/stability issues, so whatever is shown on the webui related to FA should be taken with a grain of salt.

Reboot your router while not having any USB disk plugged in to free up enough RAM to complete the upgrade.

I don't have any USB disks plugged into it, but the reboot did the trick! Weird, I've never had to do that before, but whatever works :) !

Just flashed 380.59 B1 on my AC-3100 and all is good thanks Eric. :)
 
Hi everyone and first of all thx for your hard work Eric.

I made a big jump today on my AC68U - from 378.56_2 to 380.59 beta1 - all seems ok except my usb3.0 downgraded to usb2.0 (3TB wd red in lc-power lc-35u3 case, 1 partition ext4, upgrade procedure: unplug usb, restart, upgrade, factory default, manual config)
But i think is more Asus related.

Reboot your router while not having any USB disk plugged in to free up enough RAM to complete the upgrade.

And don't forget to ensure that you're cabled up - don't try to flash over WiFi...
 
68U, the 1GHZ one. GUI flakey, LAN device list shows blank, then all of my clients, then blank again. Then its locked up and needs a power off boot.

Going back to previous non-beta version.

Edit: Well now I don't know. While digging around to find the previous FW to upload, which took some time, the LAN listing stuff seems to have settled down. Maybe it needed some time to refresh and update to the new way of listing things?

I left it be for now. If any hiccup will go back to previous FW.....
