Yes. The proxy layer is who can protect. Another time, I was able to interact the Dnsmasq with Squid via Wpad. In the repository Entware, Clamav is available. I'm going to play with it.Dnsmasq remains principally a caching forwarder. It does local DNSSEC validation, tho that should normally ideally be done by the resolver, not by the forwarder or the server. Dnsmasq validating dnssec doesn't protect you if something between your client resolver and your router is compromised (for example, a malicious host file on your local client).
Is the ovpn server suppose to work flawless in this beta?
Post your system log. Without it, it's impossible to tell what is going on with your server setup.
Post the syslog on https://pastebin.com/ then post the link on this thread. Here it is.
I have to admit I originally thought this should have been done in a few minutes, but ended up trying/changing all sorts of different settings for a couple of hours last night...
Edit: tried to upload the syslog, but that didn't work, and when I tried copy/paste in the text I was blocked..
Open a terminal, SSH in, run the commandNot sure if anyone has this same problem, I glanced through this thread and didn't see any reports on this issue I'm having with Beta2. The web interface will stop responding. I get a site cannot be reached. I have to reboot the device to restore service. I've tried IE, Edge and Chrome. I have two RT-AC86U one is in Default Router mode and the other is in AP mode. This started happening with Beta2 and did not have this issue with Beta1. I've also factory reset both devices and issue persists.
service restart_httpd
Open a terminal, SSH in, run the command
This happens with the AC86U and other routers on occasion. I have had it happen randomly for over a year. and the restart command always works with no reboot. RMerlin has not bee able to find the actual cause, but made some changes to https handling recently, but I don't see it in the changelog right now. I don't have much time to search however.Code:service restart_httpd
