GT-BE98 Pro fails with error IPSet extension not supported, please update router to latest Firmware version.
I am on latest firmware for the router 3006.102.1-beta 1

Ipset modules are compiled built in the kernel now, to be in line with Asus. Maybe Skynet is trying to modprobe then, and failing there.

So that firmware is still in Beta, there are going to be alot of changes the addon developers (e.g. Adamm) are going to have to take on before scripts like skynet will be compatible. One behavior that is now changed to match ASUS firmware is this:

  - CHANGED: ipset is now compiled into the kernel rather than as
             modules (to match with Asus)

You can read about it here, but these changes can represent major changes that result in breakage of addon scripts until the developers are able to adjust their script accordingly. I suspect that is not going to happen 100% until the firmware is out of beta and majority of the currently supported routers are using it.

The 3006 beta cycle will be longer than usual in part so that the rest of the ecosystem can also adjust as needed rather than all being broken on day 1 of the final release.

These reports are a good thing at this moment, now that I am out of the pre-beta stage.

These reports are a good thing at this moment, now that I am out of the pre-beta stage.

I can only imagine the amount of work you have put into this initial launch to begin with, and I am definitely not surprised if some script writers will have to perform some TLC to their scripts to catch up. The best way to understand what needs to be adjusted is to follow your commits on github, and read your updates to the changelog. I like how detailed and organized you keep things. I can only see great things happening from your works.

I took the opportunity of the major 3006 switch to do other breaking changes that I had been postponing, like the Chart.js upgrade. So third party devs could adjust as needed in one single update, and they will be given longer than my usual ~2 weeks beta cycles to do so.

I also made the 3006.102.1 changelog a bit more verbose than usual as well so everyone can more easily adjust to these changes.

Skynet install aborted,
IPSet extension not supported, please
update router to latest Firmware version.

Updated fine on my AX86U.
Could this be an "Unbound" conflict?

You will have to install Skynet using the direct download method as amtm will also need to be updated.

Just as a heads-up, built-in ipset will possibly be unique to 3006 and/or Wifi 7 devices, as it caused some problems with some of the older SDK where I tried to also apply it for 3004.
