Hi Jack
An observation regarding your scripts and also Unbound on occasions!!! I wonder if others have this problem too?
I sometimes need to reboot the router and more often than not I lose the tabs for Spd Merlin, Connmon, NTP Merlin UiDivstats and SC Merlin and Unbound. Force Reinstalling DOES NOT return the tabs. I have to delete the script and then add it back again to get the Tab back. OR reboot router again and hope that all tabs come back ( it ususally does on second reboot). Sometimes however it wont even let me do that complaining that it cant delete /tmp/menuTree.js because the temp file was not closed properly on reboot. If I reboot router again after that then it brings back most tabs and lets me proceed.

I think a force install of a script SHOULD ideally install the script tab without needing to delete and reinstall the script. Perhaps you can engineer this change? Also if there is a script that could be included in SCMerlin to check which tabs are missing and install the tabs ( or reinstall all tabs ) back in all the running scripts ( including Unbound). This would be really helpful. Cheers!

There's another thread where I've discovered NTP sync waiting can cause this, with Unbound being a reason why. Search for my ntpbootwatchdog script to see if this improves things and to read up on why the tabs don't mount.
In the meantime, running
Code:
scriptname startup force
will force a remount of the tab.

Thanks Jack - I enabled your ntpbootwatchdog script - much appreciated. The
Code:
scriptname startup force
will come in useful if all else fails.

Im still having issues losing tabs even with the ntpbootwatchdog script. When I lose the tabs I get the following on all missing tabs for the relevant scripts and nothing will work - not even deleting and reinstalling script - not even scriptname install force.
The only thing is to reboot router and hope for the best.

sed: can't move '/tmp/menuTree.jsivCNAh' to '/tmp/menuTree.js': Device or resource busy
sed: can't move '/tmp/menuTree.jsJCzzLg' to '/tmp/menuTree.js': Device or resource busy

Which WebUI scripts are you using?

I experienced the same thing and the only thing it worked it was installing everything from scrap - flashing the firmware again and reinstall the add ons and eventually after a while the webui for the add ons stopped getting updates - stuck with some readings from a certain date or if I added a new script back to the base with the add on tab missing.
Now, the other thing I did after this was to change the USB stick and reinstall everything one more time. At the moment everything works normal, but still early days to tell.
You might want to give it a try.

Has anyone else experienced an issue where the upload speed set by AutoBW constantly decreases? I think the value it sets prevents a speed test from exceeding that value, which then means it can only continue to go down. If I manually set the value, then it stays consistent. It even looks like this is mildly effecting download speeds.

What thresholds and limits do you have set?

Within spdMerlin AutoBW:

I had AutoBW on, but I disabled it after I saw the constant decrease in speed. Then I went to the GUI and manually configured the settings:

i believe spdMerlin log when the values change, can you check if you have system logs from the decrease?
Sure, but since I'm very new to add-ons, where do I need to look?

The System Log section should have the log entries. If not I'll turn on AutoBW and see if I can reproduce this
Thank you. Here are the log entries with just the changes. I do see before each change that the upload goes down more than 10%. The problem is that it can't ever go back up because the speed test seems limited by the QoS value set.

Ah...do you have "exclude from QoS" on?

Ah...do you have "exclude from QoS" on?
Hopefully this is the correct way to configure it:
