Those of you who want to test alpha builds are aware that no support is given.
This is for more advanced users who want to try in an early injury.
If you have problems return to the previous build and wait for regular releases.

Been using Haveged for several years with DNSCrypt installer, Uninstalled that version of Haveged and flashed 386.4_alpha1-g8f4afe6890 on my AX88u.
All looking good :)

Not bad!
Code:
xxxxx@RT-AX88U-FXX0:/tmp/home/root# cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail
2288
xxxxx@RT-AX88U-FXX0:/tmp/home/root#
octopus@RT-AX86U-EA08:/tmp/home/root# cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail
2484

Updated to alpha dirty with no issues seen thus far.

My entropy was all over the place (down as low as 1050 a few minutes after reboot) but this was the high:

admin@RT-AX88U-B690:/tmp/home/root# cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail
2482

Alpha is running. Seamless upgrade so far.

Dirty upgrade from 386.3. Maybe unrelated to this alpha? GUI unresponsive after hoovering away to a new tab in browser and willing to go back.

Code:
Aug 12 21:14:19 HTTPD: waitting 10 minitues and restart
Aug 12 21:14:19 rc_service: httpd 1253:notify_rc restart_httpd
Aug 12 21:14:19 custom_script: Running /jffs/scripts/service-event (args: restart httpd)
Aug 12 21:14:19 RT-AC2900: start httpd:80
Aug 12 21:14:19 httpd: Save SSL certificate...80
Aug 12 21:14:19 httpd: mssl_cert_key_match : PASS

Hmm... I am surprised that we are seeing yet another round of development without a new GPL drop from Asus being built-in. I am aware that there have been problems with those GPL builds, but still??? It has been a while now...

Did a really dirty upgrade...so far, all seems well!
The upgrade was flawless.

Joining in on the Alpha Fun... but only with my APs. Router staying at 386.3_2 for now.

All three APs upgraded filthily. No issues observed.

Hold up, stop the press, maybe someone should call asus and find out what is going on.

When I visit the Asus support site for my RT-AX3000 (or its match, RT-AX58U), I no longer even see the GPL listed to download. It's been that way for 2-3 months (maybe longer, I don't visit there, that often).

I should add that I'm connecting to this forum successfully via 386.4_alpha1-g8f4afe6890. No major issues so far on dirty upgrade from 386.3_2.
