Which DDNS service are you using? dyndns.org works fine for me:

Search the System log for any "ddns" entry.

I am using a noip.com, also occurs with asuscomm.com dns, I cant log from web, but on firmware 354.29 it Works well, I have some dificulty explaning what is happening, maybe some other user report the same issue. I Will wait to see. even cleaning the nvram I am having problems. AC66U.

ampdu and ack optimizations will be for all three routers. They don't do anything at this time on the RT-AC66U since we're still on the (older) 354 wireless driver.

TurboQAM will be for the RT-AC68U only - this is what will allow it to connect at 600 Mbits over 802.11n, when paired with a compatible adaptor.

I think I saw a mention somewhere that noip.com changed something related to their registration URL. I will have to create an account to test it sometime. But the starting point would be for you to search the System Log for all entries related to "ddns", this will tell you what is going on.

Clear browser cache, disable Download Manager, reboot and try again. Don't forget to unzip the firmware before flashing it.

If it still fails, try again by unplugging all USB disks then rebooting.

Also make sure you have the correct model.

I have no way of testing this feature, and you're not giving me enough information either to have any idea what could be wrong. Can you see if the experimental DualWAN version works better for you?

On the Network Map page at bottom left where it has number of Clients, the number of clients seems to be right, but when I click the icon to show the Client Status all I get is the Refresh button showing with the busy circling cursor to the right of it. It just stays like that forever never showing the clients. However, it seems that if I click the Refresh button enough times, it will eventually show the Client List.

This is with Windows 8 Pro 64bit, IE 10 and RT-N66U router. I tried with Google Chrome and the problem is not there, Client List shows almost right away. Seems to be another IE problem.

I have attached a pic of it.

You have a good amount of connected clients (11). It can take quite a few minutes for the Networkmap scanner to finish testing all of them on its first scan after rebooting.

If you get a "file not found" when trying to flash then this is most likely an issue with your browser or your computer not properly uploading the file.

I have upgraded to firmware 3.0.0.4.372.30 on my RT-AC66U and find that my OpenVPN server won't start. It was working perfectly on the previous .29 firmware.

Looking in OpenVPN Server 1 keys, the static key is defined and looks well formed and, I've not changed anything.

I will say that I also used OpenVPN client and in Client 1 I have keys defined except Static Key. Is the firmware getting confused between the two sets of keys?

I have pressed Apply on each key set to resave them and rebooted the router, neither helped.

Thoughts?

Try adding an empty line at the end of the static key - sometime OpenVPN is picky about the format of the files it parses.

Also check the content of the generated file:

cat /etc/openvpn/server1/client.key

Issue with >1ms pings to router was not fixed in this firmware from what I have seen. I went back to 3.0.0.4.270.26b and I get 1ms ping to the router ip address. With 3.0.0.4.372.30 I was getting around 4ms on average to router.

You got to unzip it (double click on the .zip file RT-N66U_3.0.0.4_372.30_0.zip) and use the .trx file in the .zip archive, you cannot upload it to your router as a .zip archive. Your router will not recognize a .zip file as a firmware file. It has to have the .trx extension.

If you already know this, I'm sorry, but I felt that I had to mention it *smile*.

I also tracked down the OpenVPN static key issue (that one wasn't getting converted from the new format before getting written to disk).

PPTP, Entware-setup and NAT loopback all fixed. Going to wait a bit longer for any additional quirks before making a 372.30_2 release.

Sorry to add to all the problem reports but I just upgraded from .29 to this release on my AC66U and wireless performance on both 2.4 and 5 ghz ranges are terrible. No configuration was changed. With .29 I would see 11-13 MBps tranfer rates on 2.4 ghz. 5 ghz was too sporadic on .29 so I didnt use it. On this release 2.4 ghz I see <= 1 MBps on both 2.4 and 5 ghz.

I understand what you are saying. But this use to show the Client list almost right away no matter how many Clients were connected. Sometimes it would take awhile to show the correct icon or name for a Client (instead of the MAC address), but the list would come up almost right away. Seems to be kind of an intermittently thing. Sometimes it does come up right away, sometimes it just stays on showing Refresh forever and sometimes I have to click the Refresh button a few times and it will show the Client list. I have to click it till it shows the "Searching please wait" message above the Refresh button. Sometimes that "Searching please wait" message will not appear until I click Refresh several times. If the "Searching please wait" message does not appear, it's just stuck on Refresh forever.

Like I said, this seems to be a problem with IE 10 as when using Google Chrome all is fine.

Tested my environment with two different laptops and the same result. Flashed back to .29 with 0 configuration changes and speeds are back to what they were. Flashed back to .30 and have the same slow speeds. Cleared NVRAM. Same result. I don't make it a habit of randomly changing configs when I update firmware because I want to see if there is any performance differences. Maybe you should check your build.
