This information is useless to 99% of users, and only serve in confusing everyone, so I didn't waste time and screen space implementing it. A big part of the problem of the original Wireless Log was that it dumped too many useless technical information, drowning the actual useful bits. Too much isn't any better than not enough.

Regional locks are done by the bootloader and for legal reasons won't be user-configurable.

Chanspec is reported on the 5 GHz band. The 2.4 GHz band does not use the chanspec format inside the wireless driver data structure. On the 2.4 GHz band, 6u implies 40 MHz, while just 6 means 20 MHz.

for Any RT-AC66 users out there running this version? Seems I am getting a weird delay at times in certain places on certain websites. Like only part of the site all of a sudden stops loading for 30-45 seconds after an otherwise fast initial load. Several different sites I regularly visit seem to behave the same. For example speedtest.net may get 100mbps download then time out on upload. Other sites may login fast, load acct fast then whatever the next click is may stop and be loading for 30 -45 seconds before comes back alive. Only started noticing this since this beta (came from 378.50 and all was fine). Have cleared nvram, deleted connection on client various times. Of course the speeds are here and there but pretty consistent 50-100 down and 29up over 2.4 ghz and 240-250 down over 5ghz AC (on phone). Just those weird delays all of a sudden since the beta or so it seems. Just curious if anyone else seeing this or how this is performing on other AC66's out there.

[Edit] Seems that over the past few days things have settled. Even seems like more consistent faster speeds now too with this version. One thing I did was in the WAN settings I toggled "Connect to DNS server automatically" off then back on. Thinking maybe since I keep getting different IP addresses from ISP at each reboot maybe there were some hung/old DNS settings and this may clear it. Not sure if this would do that but since doing that things seem a lot better. Coincidence? Maybe. Anyway for the past 24hrs 378.51 b1 seems to be pretty stable on the AC66R.

I'm not sure how this is a valid "test" - that connection test relies on a lot of outside dependencies (Sony Entertainment Network's servers) which are finicky in their own right as it is. A few seconds of difference during a connection test doesn't mean much. Do you experience issues in online multiplayer games? If not, I'd suggest that what you're testing is irrelevant and you're looking for flaws that really don't exist in Asus/Merlin's firmwares.

Many shooter games are P2P-based and therefore leaves you at the mercy of the connection of the host - which is very often not great and tends to introduce a lot of lag issues. I don't think kill/death ratios are great indicators of whether or not there is a serious issue going on here - like I said previously, Broadcom's hardware acceleration module (which you suggested was the root cause of the issue) is used in more than just the RT-AC87U, leading me to believe this would be a widespread issue across any Asus router implementing it and not just this particular one and I've yet to see any major outcries from others with the same issue.

For what it's worth, I've never had a PS4 connection test take less than 8 seconds to complete and I have zero lag issues with hardware acceleration on, QoS on or a combination of both (on 2.4GHz wireless as well). I'd rule that out as a reliable test because - like I said before - it relies heavily on your connection to Sony's servers which are sometimes down or problematic more often than they work as expected.

1. my ISP sucks (i don't have a choice though), ask merlin he agrees.
2. Because of number 1 above I see things way before you and many others do.
3. I am not going to post what I already said so go back and read.
4. Also while lag is showing when playing I get stuttering etc..., whatever you want to call it, and this also goes away mostly when I get 4 seconds on that test, again you most likely have a great connection, I do not, as my #1 above.
5. It happens with NAT A on or disabled, it just takes up to 24 hours to show.

my question to you is why after a fresh reboot I get 4 seconds and no lag, but after up to 24 hours I get 8+ seconds and lag, on my tests, and I run then a lot before and after.
Also why is this changing, why am I getting 4 seconds for the first 24 hours then 8+ after a reboot of the router at any time of the day????

You can't tell me sony knows when I reboot my router, is that what you are saying?

You say you are getting 8+ seconds, do a reboot of the router and see what you get then.

I saw the addition of qnapware in the changelog, and just updated my AC87U from .50 to .51 beta 1

Using the 'entware_setup.sh' script seems to run to completion fine, and everything seems to be working as I'd expect, e.g. opkg update, opkg install asterisk11, asterisk -vvvc works, etc. I see what I'd expect under /opt, etc.

However, rebooting the router and it all disappears. re-running 'entware_setup.sh' gets me back to step one, and the previous entware.arm and jffs scripts folder are archived.

Looks like the post-mount script is failing to replace an existing symlink at /tmp/opt to the original asusware.arm directory. I added a line 'rm -f /tmp/opt' before the existing symlink.

That's odd because my own Entware setup is persistent and correctly survives reboots. I'll take another look, but make sure that you don't have leftovers from Optware still there.

My ability to debug anything related to IPv6 is very limited as my ISP doesn't offer it. Most likely this is something that will have to be sorted by Asus or by a contributor who has an IPv6 connection to troubleshoot and test a fix.

I have this issue as reported before on my 68U, if need to collect logs I can give you remote access to the router @RMerlin, the router keeps working all right but the WUI gets broken when accessing the traffic analyzer option.

Traffic Analyzer is tied to the DPI engine, which is closed source. I can't do anything about it (and so far I can't reproduce the issue either).

Asus knows that the TA isn't fully functional yet, so consider it as being still a work in progress. They are still working on adressing its high resource usage for instance.

If you think your database is corrupted then delete it from the /jffs partition.

When connected with guest on wifi then RSSI show ( ? dbm) on both 2.4 and 5.0 Ghz.
