My apologies....

for going silent over the last month. I had a family emergency which pretty much turned my life upside down, at least for the foreseeable future. Things are a little quieter now, so I'll be able to spend a bit more time back here.

I have a new release which was ready to go, which I hope to have up shortly and I'll be trying to catch up with any posts/questions/PMs. Please be patient. Thanks.

I would guess that interest will only grow as 380.70 ages and no longer safely serves n66 and ac66 users. I have no contingency plan for the day that you stop doing this, sooo... thanks.

Working well on my N66U. For most of us with >100Mb internet, our older routers still serve us well so your efforts aren't in vain, John. You should post a donation link so you're at least somewhat supplemented for your time and work. Thanks and may you continue to be blessed by Odin.

*) 'E' Builds are the default releases
The AC68U firmware supports all revs and variations of the AC68 with a new SDK
The 'E' Builds starting with V29 also contain the fix for the KRACK exploit for all models
- Applicable if the router is used in Repeater or Media Bridge modes
- The KRACK fix carries new wireless drivers for all models
'L' Builds are based on the original fork firmware
The AC68U firmware only support revs A1,A1,B1 with an older SDK release
The 'L' Builds carry the original wireless drivers circa 2014 release for all routers.

Both Cloudfare and Quad9 support DNSSEC, but do not support DNSCrypt. They do support DNS over TLS, but that isn't supported in the fork (yet....about 50% done).

No, dnscrypt-proxy supports dnscrypt + DNS-over-HTTP. Cloudflare is simply suggesting using that client for DoH.

dnscrypt is a protocol, dnscrypt-proxy is a piece of software.

Cloudflare DNS supports DoH protocol, but not the dnscrypt protocol. You can use whatever client you like that does DoH with Cloudflare, including dnscrypt-proxy.

Edit: @agilani: re-read your post, sounds like we are on the same page. I thought you’re disputing the fact that Cloudflare DNS does not support dnscrypt.

Yes. Download the new firmware to your PC and unzip it. Then just load the TRX file from the router's web interface. All your settings will be preserved.
