Looks like ntpd was dying. What other scripts are you running? It is finally working again. yet I have no clue what caused it so many problems.
Are there any messages from ntpMerlin in syslog after a reboot?I think it is running, but the tab is still gone after another reboot. I ran the "genereate new graphs" from the amtm interface, but didn't see any results.
I will research the code you ran for your output tomorrow, but my eyes are heavy tonight.
My syslog shows:
May 9 23:03:08 RT-AC86U-8F38 ntpd[2796]: Listen normally on 7 tun11 10.8.8.3:123
May 9 23:03:08 RT-AC86U-8F38 ntpd[2796]: new interface(s) found: waking up resolver
I think it is running? There aren't any of the time errors like before. Yet. I will look further in the morning.
good night.

What does your /jffs/scripts/services-start look like?
#!/bin/sh
/jffs/scripts/connmon startup & # connmon
/jffs/scripts/ntpmerlin startup & # ntpMerlin
/jffs/scripts/spdmerlin startup & # spdMerlin
/jffs/scripts/uiScribe startup # uiScribe
Hm, the cron job makes the same call so I'm not sure why that was needed.this is services-start

I had nothing specific in the logs that said ntpmerlin didnt run on time each time. I had to uninstall and reinstall three times to finally get it working. what got the stats and ntpq to finally detect ntpd was working was me running generate from the stat-page.
i am wondering if the cronjob is not properly taking because after install i was locked out. I had to wait the 600 seconds to do anything.Hm, the cron job makes the same call so I'm not sure why that was needed.
I'll go over the install process. It sounds like I've missed a clear lock calli am wondering if the cronjob is not properly taking because after install i was locked out. I had to wait the 600 seconds to do anything.
Yup, I've missed a call on install. It should be fine after the 10mins though. I'll get a fix out shortlyI'll go over the install process. It sounds like I've missed a clear lock call
yea at first i thought entware messed it up with their binaries because i followed your commit and couldn't find any flaws and i wasn't seeing any issues in the actual logs outputted by ntpmerlin.Yup, I've missed a call on install. It should be fine after the 10mins though. I'll get a fix out shortly
