I believe that ASUS download manager uses optware, whereas ABsolution is trying to use entware. The two don't play nicely with each other, so you won't be able to run the download manager and use pixelserv as part of AB at the same time.

I got to the point where i had to modify the ps install state from 5 to 6:
# Entware and pixelserv settings #
pixelserv="1"
psInstallState="6"

Like mentioned to do because i ran into the issue the other guy before me did. Once I do this and type 11, i get an error in the 22 menu listed as.

checking pixelserv-tls
192.168.1.254 responded, looks good
pixelserv-tls is not running, restarting

Shutting down pixelserv-tls... done.
Starting pixelserv-tls (AB-Solution)... done.
pixelserv-tls is not running

Also:
./S80pixelserv-tls.1 check
Checking pixelserv-tls (AB-Solution)... alive.

Nov 4 22:19:30 pixelserv[16289]: Abort: Address already in use - :192.168.1.253:443
** my IP pool is up to .240 and nothing has .253 other then pixelserv after I set it.

Is this due to me having downloand manager installed at one point. Is there something I can do to remove it completley? or fix my issue

If you are not using the ASUS download manager i would suggest you remove it and try to reinstall AB again. If you do want to use a download manager at a later date, there are a couple of different ones that can be installed through entware.

Looks like it cant start because it thinks the ip is in use. I ping my ip before I eneable pixelserver and it has no response, but the second i start it, i see the pings, but it fails to remain on, and i get the log output that ip is in use

@thelonelycoder you really need to get rid of wget from as many places you can, look what happened when I tried to check for an update from the newly installed version 3:

Did you adjust you DCHP server settings so that 192.168.1.253 is outside the range?

Yes its out of the range, like i said i ping the ip before i enable the pixel server and it has no response.
Im out of ideas then..... only think i can think of is that possibly pixelserv is already up and you are trying to start another instance somehow.
You can try the following to see if pixelserv is alive
/opt/etc/init.d/S80pixelserv-tls check

This clearly hints of another instance of pixelserv running on your system. Enter top to see how many are running.
Check /opt/etc/init.d/ if there are two instances of S80pixelserv* files. Mine is marked with AB-Solution in the ARGS section.

No wget there, curl is used. Try again, it might have timed out.
Or help find out what the problem is:
curl -sm 5 www.ab-solution.info/releases/latest/version.info
cat version.info

If you see the content of the file, then it was temporary.

Must be two instances of the init file... i didn't notice the .1 in @akb post earlier
./S80pixelserv-tls.1 check
Checking pixelserv-tls (AB-Solution)... alive.

looking at all those lines in top give me a headache, i normally narrow it down by piping through grep ... top | grep pixelserv

The command "curl -sm 5 www.ab-solution.info/releases/latest/version.info" works fine, it returns the contents of version.info properly but the "cu" option in the script itself still produces the segfault.
curl version info:
curl 7.21.7 (arm-unknown-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.21.7 OpenSSL/1.0.2j zlib/1.2.5
Protocols: dict file ftp ftps gopher http https imap imaps pop3 pop3s rtsp smtp smtps telnet tftp
Features: Largefile NTLM SSL libz TLS-SRP

Apparently, this forum does not like that beverage I drink a huge amount of.
Moderates my posts if I mention it.
Anyway:
But the grep only shows instances when active. With top alone you see them instantly.

There's a -o option in it as well, that might cause it.

beverage moderation?...thats new..... thanks for the tip with grep... i guess that behaviour would be similar if using ps then

I also tried curl with -o parameter added, it worked. I think it is safe to assume that the ping command fails. The damn busybox in those routers is very broken.

OK, definitely broken busybox, both ping and traceroute completely fail in this router if I put any DNS name. They only work if I supply directly an IP address but that is not acceptable.

One of the oldest commands on the internet fails to check if an internet service is running.
Good morning Switzerland.
Let me enjoy my excellent view for a moment and ponder the choices I made in my life.
