Interesting: in the logs of my RT-AC68U for the 205 build.

Read the line just above in that log. You will see that this relates to the ufsd kernel module, which is used for NTFS support. That module does not need to be different for each router, so long it matches the kernel. That's also why the N16, N66 and AC66 also all share the N66U build of ufsd.

uh the temptation. I bought my n66u last week for 149. and this weeks it on sale for 139-15mir at a different store. But if i go back to the store and return it i might walk out with an ac68u aaaaah.

No wireless encryption = Open system ≠ WEP, WPA, WPA2, right?

:) I can setup WEP encryption( None, WEP-64bit, WEP-128bit) with Open System on old FW such as 158 and 205. However, I have also tried the 217FW, and there is no option to choose under WEP encryption when Authentication Method is "Open System"

Port forwarding works for me with .217 and hardware acceleration enabled. I cannot however get ddns to work. So must enter ip address on client connection over WAN to access. Should note that I have Dual WAN and a few other things I don't need disabled.

My ddns works fine. I am using tunnelbroker. Port forwarding works but you canot access it from the local net with HW acc enabled. Now with HW acc disabled it works from the local net too.

I got my asus ddns to work by using a different hostname. Seems logical they would block using the same hostname when I got a new router... duh.

None of those loopback issues or whatever that I can find with hw acceleration enabled. It forwards to correct port from wan or lan for me. Although my source and destination ports are same.
