Will AMTM also support NextDNS as installable addon?

@Smokey613 I too prefer the blue theme. Much easier on these old eyes. :)

So, if AMTM is still CLI, what's the point? That you're just doing it straight inside router instead of connecting to it via SSH or something? So I'd have to open the router panel and type in the install command for lets say NextDNS there instead of doing it on my PC inside PowerShell connected to router through SSH? Just so I get on the same page what we're talking about here.

The difference is granularity and control over things more complex than a straightforward GUI can provide. There is no version of this world that I would want to live in if I couldn't use shell scripts at work. Just ask IBM how much effort they put into their System Management Interface Tool. I can use the smitty GUI interface for AIX, but I still end up writing scripts to feed the GUI to automate procedure. Amtm is the Merlin version of SMIT, it allows cumbersome, complex things to be done with a minimum of typing and thinking. It isn't that the interface literally couldn't be made graphical, but the overhead on several levels would be ridiculous.

You are clearly an intelligent person who doesn't love spending time messing with computers, and there is nothing in the world wrong with that. It is easy to expect everything to be decided for us with a few quick menu choices, but not everything is done by machines for us yet. Life isn't always a Tesla. Sometimes thought is mandatory.

"People jacked in so they could hustle. Put the trodes on, and they were out there, all the data in the world stacked up like one big neon city, so you could cruise around and have a kind of grip on it, visually, anyway, because if you didn't it was too complicated trying to find your way to a particular piece of data you needed. Iconics. Gentry called that." ---Mona Lisa Overdrive

Great album. Not my favorite, but a beauty nonetheless. Everything David is associated with is golden, though, IMHO. I agree with the reviews about the more recent "The Light is Leaving Us All" - pure genius.

This is all just a tad off-topic, though, we were discussing the efficacy and flexability of scripting over that of coding GUI interfaces.
