No issue for me in media bridge on ac66u! Try resetting to factory defaults.

If you still have isssues after a reset, post your wifi settings and I will compare them with mine.

Completed the reset process.
The problem appears to be FireFox 53.0.3, since I was able to login via Opera & Edge.

After reset and entering basic settings, alpha_2 is running well on my 88.
IPv6 working (comcast), all clients connecting, and appropriate network speeds reached.
While network down, due to reset, I saw my children's faces for the first time in months.

either your being a troll, or you didnt read merlins comments on the router, as much as i would love to see support for it, i understand that it will take along time before merlin would possibly decide to support it.

I'm screwing around with him lol I've tried to get him to support this router basically offering to loan him mine with no luck. I just can't stand the firmware on it and I'm stuck with it

why dont you read his post on it, and why hes not supporting it, as of yet. Posting point less comments wont make it happen any sooner and badgering him is not going to make him support it any sooner, i personally want a rapture but one its not out yet here in aus, and two merlin wont support it due to the gpl not being in sync with the rest of the units, also he posted alot of other reasons. If you want to get it supported sooner ask asus to upgrade all the other units to the same gpl version as the gt 5300

I just checked on my router and found that core 1 was pegged at 100%. I tried rebooting but that didn't help so I had to completely power off for a few and when it came back up it was running normally. This is the first time this has happened and I will keep an eye on it. If it happens again I'm going to roll back.

Have I understood this correctly ...
"Asuswrt-Merlin Changelog
========================
380.67 Beta (xx-xxx-2017)
- NEW: Webui SSL certificate can now be saved so it gets reused
instead of a new one being constantly generated. It will
be stored under /jffs/https/, you can also easily provide
your own by storing cert.pem and key.pem in that location."
It only needs to be created in the jffs folder a folder "https" and in it cert.pem and key.pem are filed and then I can log on to the router via https?

Beside, if people have wifi issues with the GT-AC5300, there's absolutely nothing I can do about it anyway.

Https support has been there for years already, you just have to enable it on the Administration -> System page.

What this change does is store the certificate in JFFS so it can be reused between reboots (instead of having a new one generated at boot time). It also makes it easier to provide your own key/cert, by storing it in that location. For this to work, you have to enable Persistent Certificate support on the Administration -> System page.

GUI working here now for a couple of days on 87U. I think power cycle helped, but I did do a full reset before that. Strange...
The AC66U will not work in bridge mode. No chance. It will not find network or connect manually.

For this to work, you have to enable Persistent Certificate support on the Administration -> System page.
I do not have such a setting option (380.67 alpha 2, Cache emptied):

Are you sure you really have 380.67 alpha 2 running?

Yes

For all browsers the same (cache emptied) ...
Chrome 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit); Firefox 53.0.3 (64-Bit); IE11 11.0.9600.18665
