Window PC's already run WSD. The question is can your PC discover the router using WSD instead of NetBIOS.
I get it, but I do not have a external drive attached to the USB, but IPV6 is new for me here...

If I recall, the previous issue that was reported when I last attempted to update wsdd2 was that after a while wsd discovery would stop working. Please have a look after a few days to see if the router is still discovered.

I am hoping that a recent fix to wsdd2 would resolve this issue that had prevented me from updating it until now.

4 days and router share is available still.

You also need to check that the discovery method is still WSD and not NetBIOS.
I don't seems to see how to add discovery method column in windows 11(OS Build 22631.3527) explorer? My router share is set for SMBv2 only.

Edit: I found the selection to add discovery method but in this windows it doesn't show even if chosen. Any other way I can check?

NVM found it, it is using WSD discovery. I have to sort it to group by discovery method.

My morning testing misadventure: Turned on IGD2 support on my RT-AX86U Pro while my wife was on a Microsoft Teams conference call on her Windows laptop. Two minutes later, my wife yells out, "Why has the camera on my laptop just turned off?" I told her I had no idea, but turned off IGD2 support and told her to restart, which magically fixed the problem… ;)

Works for me IF I have Tailscale disconnected on the Windows PC that I am checking from. Has been working fine for a few days now.
If Tailscale is on (connected), I see fewer devices. I am not sure how this works with other VPNs.

k.

Will observe if these shares (MAD-GATEWAY-PRO, MARTENS-SMB) will disappear. MARTENS-SMB is on a USB drive at the node.

Everything is up and running for 5 days now!

THANK YOU!!!

Look at the lines before that. Something actively caused the WireGuard client to be stopped, otherwise there wouldn't be a log entry about it.

OT: Did you deactivate NetBIOS at the W10 PC?

My AX86U had been running fine since updating to beta1 the day it was posted, but now twice in last 12 hrs or so my WAN connection has dropped (shown as disconnected) and the AX86U has reported these messages and I've had to reboot to recover:
