Been having momentary WAN drops for the last 3 days about the same time 9-10am-ish, and comes right back second later. Generally happens 2-3 times and is fine for the rest of the day. Modem is staying up and connected to the ISP, nothing in the log, but the router is saying:

May 3 09:43:21 kernel: eth0 (Int switch port: 7) (Logical Port: 7) (phyId: 19) Link DOWN.
May 3 09:43:25 WAN(0)_Connection: WAN(0) link down.
May 3 09:43:25 kernel: eth0 (Int switch port: 7) (Logical Port: 7) (phyId: 19) Link Up at 2500 mbps full duplex
May 3 09:43:28 WAN(0)_Connection: WAN(0) link up.
May 3 09:43:28 rc_service: wanduck 1632:notify_rc restart_wan_if 0
May 3 09:43:28 lldpd[2585]: removal request for address of (My IP address), but no knowledge of it

It keeps dropping Zoom calls for my wife. This hadn't happened on the ASUS stock 3.0.0.6 firmware for the AX88U Pro.

Dirty upgraded GT-Ax6000 and RT-Ax86u main router and mesh router all smooth. Thanks for the great work

Moving on from my AC5300 (loved that beast!), and just received my BNIB AX6000 (based on recommendations from this site).

Before upgrading to latest Merlin build, do I need to upgrade to most recent Asus FW (either 3.0.0.4.388_23285 or 3.0.0.6.102_21514, found at https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/gt-ax6000/helpdesk_bios/) in order to get any most recent device/chip firmware functionality? Or, is all that built into latest Merlin build?

Thanks in advance for any guidance, community, and thank you @RMerlin for the great work that you do!

The Ethernet link physically went down, so this is unlikely to be related to the firmware.

It is. After upgrading to Merlinwrt perform a factory reset and build your network from scratch.

I’ll try a new cable. Thanks.
I would first try an electrical reset of both the modem and the router, just in case it's a controller issue. Unless it's just a short patch cable between the two, that would be easy to swap.

I did try powering down both. I don’t really like the connectors on the cable I had used anyway. They were a pain to get on and off, so the swap was worth it anyway. The green light on the port would go out on the modem if bumped at all. So I’m guessing it had just gotten bumped around too much.

I note that under the "USB Application" the menu fly-out lists "Advanced_TencentDownloadAcceleration" while the main page of the section lists "Download Master".

It's been close to 7 days now after another dirty flash and is rock solid on my RT-AX3000 (aka RT-AX58U).

I don't think flyout lists are part of the firmware. An add-on script perhaps?

Just updated successfully using MerlinAU without a hitch.
Thanks RMerlin for the great work. (as always!)

AXE-16000 unit perfectly updated, no issues what so ever.

Your router ran out of memory. Review any third party addons you might have installed.
