Seems strange to have the issues you're stating when no one else seems to be reporting similar though?
Certainly would be easy to do (I assume).I guess adding a reference to Trend Micro to the label might help clarify a bit.
Agree. I am probably stirring up a hornet's nest, but I would never want Trend Micro in my router doing all manner of anything. I am also on the side of never using AI Protection as there are many ways to harden a router and provide security without ever letting a 3rd party into your router (in this case collecting data and blocking web sites on a black list).Ah that explains why I don't see it I don't use AiProtection!

Yes, do NOT restore anything or one likely restored problems.Simple question, I want to reset my router to start clean. I know restoring from a backup.cfg file is not recommended and should enter everything manually. Does this also apply for the backup_jffs.tar?
Why are you guys so concerned about a Signature update? It's for Trend Micro's protection updates like you can say its an update for its malware/virus etc database and if you don't use AiProtection on your router you don't even need it.
Also used for Adaptive QoS.
Also something I don't use since I'm on a 1Gbps fiber connection.
Also used for Adaptive QoS.
Is your connection 1Gbps symmetrical (both directions) - or only 1Gbps download?
If it's not symmetrical then it's not a true fiber connection. I use ATT Gigabit fiber here. 1000 down 1000 up. Real world 940/940
And that is not necessarily true.
Kinda it is.
