thank you, yes, I use all of those services and generally have 30+ devices connected and run a few terabytes a month, so QOS is definitely needed but can't seem to get bandwidth limiter to work.
Never tried it.... I use adaptive QOS with FreshJr QOS and works really well. Never had issues

Agree i find QOS useless. :eek:
It is absolutely useless if your download speed is 30 MB/S or more. It was meant for sharing VERY SLOW connections. Right on!

that's your problem you are only concerned in download speeds... what about upload speed? What about latency?
You can have 30MB DL, but it'll be useful with a 20-10Mbit or less UL speed. QoS is useful in many scenarios

@RMerlin I've noticed since the update that Primary WAN shows as disconnected in WebGUI (but it's up and working just perfect).
It was a dirt update from previous one, and powercycled it but nothing.

-Also on "Security Assessment" it says UPnP is enabled, but on WAN is set as disabled.

-Finally AMTM is unable to check for script updates*

Try power cycling the modem. I've had that before and normally just reboot my cable modem.

Tried it... but didn't help... I think config messed up after upgrading from 384.15 to .16
I'll try a few things more and hard reset if I cannot solve it.

QoS is critical to anyone using time-sensitive services like VoIP, particularly as the bottleneck is typically the asymetric uplink.

I can't seem to get bandwidth throttling to work with the latest build 384.16 on an ac68u. Any recommendation?
 
Asus ac68U router. Same issue in 16 as it was in 15 firmware.

Traffic analyzer. Speeds can only be viewed in KB/s and there is no option to switch to Mb/s or to MB/s
 
No comments about the ax58u?

I know this thread is about the new firmware but I cannot find any differences between the ax58u & the ax3000 besides the WPA3-Enterprise feature, Do I need that feature? I can get the ax3000 for $159
 
I'm not even seeing this signature settings on my router from the posted screenshots.
Ah that explains why I don't see it I don't use AiProtection!
On AC56U I always had the option to update the signature even though AiProtection and Adaptive QoS were disabled. But on AC86U it shows up if I enable AiProtection and then disappears if disabled.
 
No comments about the ax58u?

I know this thread is about the new firmware but I cannot find any differences between the ax58u & the ax3000 besides the WPA3-Enterprise feature, Do I need that feature? I can get the ax3000 for $159
They are the same router and share the same firmware.

Is Let's Encrypt somehow broken? After updating to 384.16, I reviewed some router settings, and I found that Let's Encrypt said that certificate generation status is "OK", but the listed certificate expiration date of 2020/3/17" would seem to suggest that the status is not ok. Since the certificate expiration is back on March 17, this issue must have started some time ago, maybe when I was running 384.16 beta. Anyone else seeing this?

My RT-AC86U cert is stuck at "Authorizing'
 
Lost wi-fi this morning on my RT-AC86U running 384.16. First issue I've ever had. Noticed a device wouldn't connect and the password (which was correct) was being rejected. Then my kids woke up and started yelling that the wi-fi was down (children are the best network monitors I know). Rebooted and all is good. This is repeated in the log:

Same thing just happened to my ac86u with a similar log. Completely lost WiFi and had to reboot. All is good for now
