That's why you only get 300-350
Enable it to get better speeds

Reflashed and factory reset and 24hrs test - still 2.4Ghz drops on AC3200. Such a shame. I have followed this project for 18 months. Going back to Asus firmware.

Note: I don't know if it's a bug or that's how it supposed to look but I think it's a bug.
Hello, I have two routers, one is AC86u ( 384.5_0 ) which is a main router and second is AC68u (384.5_0) which I'm using as Access Point connected to main router via LAN.
The problem is on Access Point router ( AC68u ) the wireless log page under System Log doesn't show proper client's IP addresses and hostnames but only show <unknown> ( Picture below )
The AP router does show proper IP addresses when I check from Network MAP, the <unknown> error only present in Wireless Log page, furthermore if I directly connect the devices to my main router ( AC86u ) the wireless log page on that router shows proper IP addresses and hostnames for the devices so the issue is only on AP router.
I've tried after complete factory reset with Intialize and setting it up from scratch but the issue persists, I've even tried with firmware 384.4_2 and it's behaving same way on that firmware too so it's not 384.5 specific issue.
Any input from someone with a similar setup is highly appreciated.
so try enabled, depends on router how fast it can go disabled. No off
There is nothing in the logs.. I asked in another thread if theres some place I can get additional logs but it fell on deaf ears.
My router is a RT-AC66U_B1.
I have same problem than with 384.4.
I have an optical gigabit net, the speedtest.net usually measures above 900/200 in 380.x version. After upgrade fw, this value is ~600/200.
I would like to use the parental control/time scheduling. If it is enabled, I have to disable NAT Acceleration. Then the speed will slow down to around ~190/200.
If I set NAT Acc. to Auto, the speed will be increased around ~600/200 but the Time Scheduling won't work correctly (usually blocks the internet access in allowed time and enables it in forbidden time).
All other function like QoS, Traffic Analyzer, AiCloud are off...
The previous version (380???) did not have any speed problem with NAT Acceleration and Parental control/Time Scheduling...
OK thanks ZastoffThat's why you only get 300-350

Thanks for the reply. By that you mean that the router having the future is not running on 384 Firmware. ?No. Different firmware code base.

I've intended to post here for a while now but keep forgetting. I have been using Asus Merlin firmware for a while now, a few years across multiple devices in fact and generally for the most part they end up being the most solid firmware releases that I have ever used. Unfortunately though I have to echo the same problem that has been mentioned earlier, I have an AC3200 and I am experiencing dropouts on my 2.4 GHz network. This is after a fresh flash. The procedure that I followed is
1 factory reset
2 upgrade firmware
3 factory reset again
4 set up from scratch
I seem to be able to get anywhere between 24 to 48 hours before my 2.4 GHz network just completely becomes unconnectible. I can still see the network being broadcast on devices like my printer, cell phone and android TV box however when I attempt to connect to them they just refuse to connect. The only thing that seems to fix the issue, without rebooting the router that is, is by going into the professional tab of the wireless settings and turning off the 2.4 GHz radio and then switching it back on. I'm willing to give any information I can to help track down what this issue may be, I just need somebody to tell me what information is needed
I have no idea. Never used anything but Merlin.

@RMerlin any love on my post too please lol [emoji854][emoji854]
AP mode cannot handle name resolution, that's why the system log is unable to resolve client names.
