I just got a random crash/reboot not sure how to read these logs but here it is. Have been noticing it likes to cut out a lot too. Hope this helps.

@RMerlin I think I found a bug in 386.3_2…
I have an RT-AC68U that is setup in repeater mode, and while it is connected to my main AP, the wireless status says ‘Open System’ even though it is repeating a WPA2/AES configured network. Seems strange and I’ve never seen that happen before. Everything is working fine as configured though…

I strongly suspect that this is outside the scope of what @RMerlin can fix, as it is likely closed source wireless driver related. However, I can confirm that the same problem exists on several of the last official Asus firmwares as well, as I have personally seen the same behavior. I have learned to ignore that visual glitch, as I am quite sure that I am NOT running an unsecured open wifi network.

hi all, just switched from orbi to Asus
setup my first asus home wifi system and loving it.

am using the latest Merlin firmware
CHANGED: Moved the "Redirect Internet traffic" setting on
the OpenVPN Client page to the Network Settings
section to increase its visibility, as too many
users are forgetting to configure it.

am trying to confirgure Openvpn, and having trouble looking for this option for my vpnserver: Redirect internet traffic

As the changelog says, this is an OpenVPN Client option, not an OpenVPN server option.

Define "not working". What have you done and what errors are you getting?

Wouldn't a private WAN IP prevent port forwarding and thus even running a VPN Server? Warning message indicates a Private WAN IP is being handed out.

The port forwarding for the VPN server needs to be done on the upstream router not the Asus. The exported config then needs to contain the public IP or DDNS address. That's all.

K - was assuming the ISP was handing out a Private WAN as some are known to do. This is a Double-NAT situation then. Carry on... ;)

As a heads-up, I'm going to be locking this thread soon, as the release feedback has died down and it's now used for generic support.

hi ! my have two device ax86u and ac86u

my Merlin firmware version 386.3_2 or 386.2_6
cake qos version 2.0.0 or 2.1.0 from https://github.com/ttgapers/cakeqos-merlin

i get a problem that run cake qos and IPSec VPN on ax86u

When my android phone open any website After connect to ax86u by IPSec Xauth PSK

Then AX86u will crash and reboot

by the way i try the same setting config on ac86u , anything is fine
Just did about 10 minutes of web browsing and Youtube streaming from my connected tablet, no problem here.

There are checksums inside the archive, but I suppose if an image was compromised they would also update the hash to check out.

The website is backup again. For future reference, bookmark the url of the mirror on OneDrive:
